Stokes gets arrested but is released 'under investigation'

Hales was with him but it is he who goes back to Bristol to assist the police.

Which begs the question. Surely he could have assisted that same night ? Unless........

.... It was he who required the hospital treatment.

Any way. Stokes gets selected for The Ashes purely, quoting Strauss, on form and fitness grounds. The Aussies will have a field day with this one.

Strauss: "No comment"

Well for the moment he is named as vice-captain for the tour.

Yet talking of the selection is Westley unlucky or did he just not do enough to give him a chance ?. Yet the man he replaced, Ballance, replaces him in the squad. But is that the right call ?

Anyone else surprise you ? Maybe Crane.
