That pretty much covers it- I did see it at the cinema when it was first released, but it always felt like a major case of over-hype- The cinematography and effects looked spectacular on-screen (especially on a cinema screen), Kate Winslet is in great form- especially when she gets naked...



...but it's hardly the greatest film ever...and then, as several people have mentioned, there's Celine Bloody Dion going on and on...

Don't know why though as you like trains and this lighthearted buddy picture has plenty of those
Loads of laughs also as our heroes who first don't get along eventually learn to love each other (No, not in the biblical sense).

Telling you Mate it scenes such as this which has made the movie a classic and one I chimney high recommend

This topic makes interesting reading.. so many "iconic" films that I simply have no desire to see.

I've never seen Star Wars, The Godfather or Clockwork Orange.. or any of the "Harry Potter" series that clog up the TV screen every so often.

I remember when "Reservoir Dogs" came out in the cinema everyone was raving about it - the "must see" film of the year.. I walked out part way through. Just an over-indulgent pile of gratuitously violent shite.. in my opinion of course.
