I used to play with the famous french squadron Galactic 911. We went from our system in the Bubble to Sagittarius A in a few days once, thanks to the Neutron Stars Highways. Then I decided to come back on my own, looking for G type stars in the Orion arm. I couldnt bear it any more towards the end

Old World

This one makes Civilization looks old.

If you like Civilization but want to add a rp side to it, Old World is for you. A very subtle game with different layers of playing and some new concepts like Orders. Unlike Civ, your king or queen (that you will see getting older turns after turns) has a stack of Orders that can be given to move units for example. If you dont have enough, well, it might get tricky if you're at war with Rome or Persia.
For the RP side, events will pop randomly or not, your previous decisons influencing what might happen in the game. So you have to think carefully.
There is a Family Tree and you can tutorate your offsprings and try and give them assets to be better cities rulers or generals.
You can marry people of your Court to foreign nobles, your own country nobles or some tribes for the sake of your empire. And have this kind of thinking : "shall I marry my bastard daughter Spy Master to one of these damn Persians to steal their technologies...mmm...or my second son to the Egyptians because we need better opininon from them...ah I forgot he's homosexual...well, let's marry him anyway" Hours of head scratching ahead
So, yes, you can also build a spy network abroad or try counter intelligence to see who's spying on you. I'm not even mentioning the religions, the laws and well, this game is just super rich and deep. It gets really fun when you start understanding its mechanisms.
So, I can only recommend Old World if you're into this type of game. The only downside is that it takes hours and days to play one game.

Been driving a Formula Vee car on Iracing for quite some time now, and I'm getting the hang of it. even had a few poles

Also Pacific Drive. A post apocalyptic survivor. A steep learning curve, but lots of fun.

Out of boredom and curiosity I reinstalled New Vegas last week and HOLY FUCKING SHIT!
I had completely forgotten how butt ugly this game is.
God damn everything looks like hammered dog ass! And even with texture & lighting mods theres no way to make it look like something that isnt hammered dog ass.

Also I had completely forgotten how much better it is. Fallout 4 is a very boring contrived unimaginative experience by comparison. There's just so much shit to do in New Vegas and all of it is fun. F4 simply hammered out a generic story with terribly generic gameplay and its kind of sad. I feel sorry for Bethesda. They lost their way.

I totally agree. It's sad. Starfield was just the same, in space.
