Our American football is a source of increasing problems to the extent that our two local teams discontinued their annual exhibition game due to fan violence. Baseball does tend to be family oriented, but hooliganism is on the rise everywhere from concerts, nightclubs, and sporting events. Even private parties in homes have had outbreaks of violence from party crashers.

Does it represent the way that you end your phone conversation in the real life?
As for me, and just about everyone I've ever dealt with, our phone conversations always end with "goodbye" or something similar (bye, so long, see you later, etc.). In many American movies I've seen the same thing, although I've also seen many times when a word of farewell hasn't been added.

In fact I recently observed that. More precisely, when I watched "Boardwalk Empire" and "Chicago Police".

I never heard "goodbye" or "bye".

Well, they do it for dramatic purposes, it serves the narration.

That's because writers are paid by the word ,and that's why you never hear the other end of the phone conversation either , less words and those evil big eared corporations make more money

I'd say the states that are located in the Pacific Northwest. Those are the northern part of California, Oregon and Washington.

Arizona would be my choice as nothing is better that the peace and serenity of a Desert and we have 3 Deserts here , the Sonoran is my favorite and is the only place in the world where Saguaro cactus grow , also even though its a desert we have plenty of water as we have to have 100 year supply on hand , and if you want forest we have several one of which has the largest stand of western white pine in the U.S., the Grand Canyon is located here and a short drive to Las Vegas or a short drive to the Sea of Cortez ,did I mention we average 350 days of sunshine

He is European, he could call himself a centrist and be classified as a lefty over here. And I may be wrong but he may have trouble with the 90°+ heat you guys are famous for. I used to go to Vegas all the time and I knew never leave the nice confines of the air-conditioned casino he sounds too much of a outdoorsy type for that to be aby fun.

I wasn't referring to the political climate in those states nor do I think they're leaning left. Liberal maybe? Places like Portland and Seattle have high living costs. Not exactly a leftist paradise. But there's no question that states like Oregon are beautiful. Rich and beautiful forests, rivers, a wide ocean view and a mild climate are what appeals to me. I could never live in the desert or any hot and dry place. Maybe I'd have a different view if I grew up there.

A few pics of Oregon:
