I'm sorry that it takes me so long to get these up. Many of the images have issues, so I have to do some work on them. It's generally more of an issue with the scanner than with the actual pages. I don't mess around with them too much, I leave the little original flaws, but I do fix scan artifacts and damage. (tears, water damage, major discoloration, etc.) Remember, if you particularly like any of these and would like a higher quality image, just give me a shout and I'll upload the PNG file for you.

The pre-Grace Jefferson Airplane line-up, from the SF Chronicle's Sunday magazine, and a publicity shot: Signe Anderson, vocalist; Skip Spence, later of Moby Grape, drums

Grace during the Fillmore performances for "Bless It's Pointed Little Head"; Shots of the band at the Victorian they purchased communally; On the cover of Rolling Stone, w/Grace interview; Cover of LIFE magazine

Off topic: A favorite Berkeley Barb cover of a hippie LBJ encouraging us to "Turn off, Tune out, Drop in" ; And a Mom's plea for info on her missing kid that ran for many years in the Barb & elsewhere: Roger Calkins who disappeared from his Kansas City home in Sept. 1956 (first time I saw the ad was 1968); a 9th grade photo of Roger(?)

As far as I can tell he was never found, but someone with a sick sense of humor eventually opened a "Roger Calkins Music" store in Berkeley
