Sorry this Matrial i dont good scaned with my old Scanner.

Its a DIA -Set from the 70s in GDR (East Germany)

The Titel of this Set are "Durchblicke" , i cant exactly translate its a ambiguous Play on Words ----> "Looktroughs"

It was realy expensiv Material in this Time.

To draw a Comparison.

Really seems to be very, very rare; I haven't seen anything like this in this forum...!
Actually quite strange to know, that the former GDR was a fairly big producer of erotica that was to be exported to the western-european nations for hard cash' sake, hardly anything was available to the domestic people, not even 'under the shop's desk'...!
I once saw an interview with a swinging couple from the 'state of workers and farmers', where they presumed, that the discrepancy between producing erotica for foreign ( hostile ) markets on the one hand and the denial of them for the own people on the other where part of a general master-plan to distract the enemy's attraction on political and defensive matters by the use of erotica/porn....!
Though this sounds very strange, it is a proven fact that decisions in the GDR were made that were even more strange and far-fetched in their reasoning !!

I wonder how they could have lasted 40 years at all...?

I can't say in how far this couple and what they said was credible, It's just what they reflected...!
The interview itself was just part of a TV-program with the focus on the sexual culture in the GDR in general.
The narrator claimed, that there was a VEB-don't-know producing card-game decks with hardcore-photos on them - just for the export, of course !!!
I presume that's why hardly anybody knows about GDR-made porn.

I really can't tell what's the truth here, it wouldn't surprise me if most of the former inhabitants of the GDR could part truth from fiction and rumors themselves, since secrecy was an common and elaborate manner in almost every aspect of life, as I was told by the folks from 'the east' I got to know !

Personally, I believe that there was porn in the GDR; either secretly imported swedish or danish stuff, or even home-made material on 8mm-film...; it's just that I can't imagine neither mankind, nor any special group among it, to live without porn in the long run, at all !!!
Just look at this forum, look further..., the whole net seems to be hardly anything more than a giant dump-yard for any kind of smut you could ever think of !

Turn it any way around, the stuff you posted is interesting regarding to the question 'What was possible in which kind of political atmosphere' ect. !

If you have any more material and/or info please post it; I guesss there are some more people out there, who would be very interested..!

Imho the intrinsic innocence of these pics reflect the political climate of the country in which they were produced. Even a editorial supervision by the communist party is not unthinkable, they had their spies in every segment of the DDR community..

The image of a Stasi agent looking on unsmilingly while the performers did their thing is pretty unsettling, all right. One wonders, in that case, how the guys managed to retain their erections, nervous as they must have been about the penalties if they failed to turn in a good performance. I expect that the politburo of the DDR Communist Party justified the whole enterprise on the premise of corrupting the already-decadent West still further and gathering some valuable foreign exchange in the process...all of which lends a nice irony to the thread "Pornography will turn you into a Communist" elsewhere in this section!

Then again, George Orwell did write in 1984 about how the totalitarian Party produced, in the labyrinthine recesses of the Ministry of Truth, reams of cheap porn for the submerged masses of the "proles"...

you shouldn't Forget the "Armeerundschau", a mag which dealed mainly with military stuff; sometimes had nudies on their humor page.

Speaking of "Eulenspiegel", at least some of the nude girls in the "Funzel" were in fact bootleg western models (pinups or page-3-girls) with funny (but made-up) captures
