Istanbul
Hi Sevket
A while ago there was a dealer from Istanbul who had a regular supply of TOCO mags for sale on Ebay. He provided a great service but has now stopped trading |

I drove one in 1965. Mine was just a Victor though. I thought the 101 came after this model, but my memory is that of the SENIOR type nowadays! Column change and a bench front seat with which you would slide about all over the place, if you did any speedy manoeuvre. It was a bucket of junk, but it took a lot of wellie. Lovely 'spruced-up' pics of Catherine Brydon by the way. Many thanks.

I was always more of a Triumph man myself...lovely front grill! Those Vauxhalls were a little before my time, I bought my first car in 1974. And Danton, Catherine Brydon has never looked better! That's another pint I owe you. Nick

My thanks to Danton for the wonderful Cathy Brydon pictures. Cathy was not one of the A-list Scotlee girls but she just about summed up everything great about Spick and Span in the mid-Sixties: genuine everyday housewife (note ring on wedding finger), no real glamour girl, not even particularly pretty, well past her teens too. But here she is down a deserted country track showing her stocking tops and knickers (not to mention her lovely long legs) with that beautiful beaming smile. Fashion shoot? Nah!!

I totally agree with what you have said about Catherine Brydon, Tocofan and, I just feel the lack of glossy glamour is so, so attractive. It's especially saucy when we are given glimpses of her everyday underwear in everyday situations. It's just so erotic for me and what got me hooked on S&S and BB. The same applies to all the other lovely, girl/woman next door types featured. I think you get my drift? Nick

I have always been a great fan of the lovely Catherine Brydon for the reasons others have stated. The professional glamour models ToCo used at times never had as much appeal for me as their pictures lacked the same personal quality. I recall seeing earlier photos of her where she was described as being a model (possibly before she was married) but I don't know if this was for fashion or photography. She certainly had fabulous legs, on a par with the delightful Jane Rennie's seemingly endless stems, but that is another topic!
