Actually, POTY for 1989 (although they announced it in late-1988) but small matter, right ?

Thanks for the post, some pics I had not seen before (you usually see new shots or slightly-different angles of the same shot/poses in the overseas magazines).

This is why I spoke earlier about why General Media/Penthouse ran into trouble and why they could STILL monetize alot of their library today. I am sure that for the POTM pictorials they probably shot 100-150 pictures for the pictorial, using maybe 1/10th that amount. For the POTY pictorials, they probably shot even more. Not to mention pictures and videos of the girls in casual settings, being photographed for the pictorials, swimming/bathing, formal events (esp. for the women who were POTY) showing them in evening gowns, etc.

None of this is available to my knowledge, not at the old or new Penthouse.com website. And the number of videos featuring the girls is a fraction of what Playboy did with their girls. Take Shannon Stewart, an attractive girl who was only Playmate Of The Month, not Year -- she's appeared in 3 or 4 videos herself.

Imagine "Penthouse Classics" or something like that featuring women like Laura Bennett Doone, Cheryl Rixon, Corrine Alphen, Sheila Kennedy, Ginger Miller, Stephanie Page, Simone Bridgette, Julie Strain, etc. Well, Julie does have a bunch of videos out but of all the other women only Sheila Kennedy has one featuring her being filmed for a pictorial and there is NOTHING except the still shots in the 25th Anniversary DVD with all the other girls.

Not sure what archival pictures or videos exist of these girls today or who has the rights (Guccione or the new owners of Penthouse/General Media), but it really would be a gold mine if they came out with a series on some of their women of yesteryear. The mag today is nothing like it was then and the women don't even compare, IMO.

Hi, everyone. Again by request here is POM Sarah Greaves in her 1st US Penthouse appearance (non-pet) from September 1983 pages 101-105. This beauty was also Australian POM in May 1983 and US POM in January 1986.

I do have only one thing to contribute. I have a close up of Lale Hansen from a Girls Of Penthouse issue. It started to show wear years back, so I laminated it. The problem was I didn't have enough lamination for the whole thing, and one corner was missed. If it seems like the picture has water damage, it doesn't. That is just the laminate. I surprised it is not on here.

These are the other names she is known by. She is in a very short pictorial in the French magazine, "Lui".

Apparently, she is an expert in karate, plus she was a stuntwoman in French cinema in the eighties and nineties.

Finally, she has a small part in the eighties film "Gotcha!" starring Anthony Edwards.

How come there was no Penthouse Pet Of The Year for 1985 ? The 1984 POTY was Linda Kenton, why was there no POTY for 1985 ????

It's because they used to announce the POY at the end of the year, in September, October or November. Linda Kenton was the last one of these, in Dec. 1984.

They started announcing the POY in January with Cody Carmack, in 1986. I guess they thought it didn't make much sense to call her POY 1985 when 1985 was over!

Right...so whether in December or January, it's for the NEXT calendar year.

Whether you 'shift' it up or back by 1 year, it seems that we are short 1 Penthouse POTY.

If Linda Kenton is really 1985 because she was announced in December 1984, then Sheila Kennedy was really POTY for 1984 because she was announced in December 1983. Ergo, every woman from a previous year in the list above was announced in December of the above dates...but was POTY for the subsequent year.

So unless there was no POTY for the 1st year, are we short one girl ???

Problem Solved: The 25th POTY Spectacular DVD has only 24 POTYs !! The 25th Pet was Gina Lamarca, but the DVD ends with Sasha Vinni.

I guess they didn't name a POTY for the first 12-18 months or so that the magazine started in the U.S.
