Kevin here. It's too bad that when palo5 created this thread he didn't call it both; What if you lived in Australia? and What if you live in Australia, because then the Australian members of vef could talk about Australia the way that the U.K. members talk about the daily happenings in the U.K. in Greenman's thread: Things Noticeable This Week. I have read most of the hundreds of pages of posts in this thread and it is true that much stuff about Australia has already been revealed, but I would like to see more Australian members of vef actually talk about daily happenings in the land down under, but that can't happen because of the limiting nature of the name of this thread!

Out here nothin' changes, not in a hurry anyway.
Drought, bushfire and the regularity of challenges to the Prime Ministerial leadership.. (If you can call it leadership, particularly with a one seat majority) https://www.9news.com.au/2018/08/19/...e-peter-dutton |

Today in my world, Got up, had brekkie, ignored the news as I hate all our politicians, bummed on here for half an hour, went to the driving range and practiced my driving, came home and did a load of washing, had dinner, BBQ Chook and then logged on here ..... That was my world today And, in Geelong there has been a mysterious outbreak of owl deaths And also in Geelong, Alcoa will demolish it's now unused power generation facility at Anglesea And, Geelong Football Club are 8th on the AFL ladder separated by percentage. Yep, that's all I know. Oh, and the pothole at the end of Mums street the council have so far ignored

Or just wait until election time and contact the sitting member of Parliament and they will bend over backwards to get the council to have it fixed (at least that's the way things seem to work in the electorate where my parents are where the long-standing sitting member seems to suddenly start doing things when it's time to vote)
