Today's drink is from Germany: Neuzeller Klofter Brau Porter. Pours a clear dark brown with a beige head. Alcohol content 7.1%. Tastes of roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, malted milk balls, and dark berries. Very good overall.

Today's drink is from Poland: Perla Chmielowa Lubelska Pilsner: Pours a light amber and the white head disappears quickly. Alcohol content 6.2%. Tastes of sweet malts, honey, and grass. Slight hop bitterness. Just good overall.

Today's drink is from Germany: Plank Brauerei Pilsner: Pours a light hazy golden straw color with a thick head that won't go away. Alcohol content 4.9%. Tastes
of lemon, pear, apple, honey and a light floral taste. Malt and hop flavors are balanced. An excellent example of a very good Pilsner.

To Trailmaster (and maybe other posters) :
I'm not at all a beer drinker (in fact I drink only wine or wodka) and I was surprised by the mention "Pilsner" on German or Polish beers (I'm a few decades late). It was weird for (the uneducated) me, as I always thought 'Pilsner" meant from Plzen, a town in Czech.
But indeed not. "Pilsner" now means "lager", a blonde low degree beer.
Times are changing so fast... I remembered I posted more than 7 years ago about a trip & memories of Czech beers and Plzen. The good ol' time of communism

When I drink a beer in France it's a brown english or irish one. Nobody's perfect

But at home after work it's a few drinks of Wyborowa, cheap and basic Polish wodka :
