One interesting thing about Antonio Vivaldi was that while he was alive his music was being played and honored all over the world, but some decades after he died his music was largely forgotten. This never happened to the music of even greater masters such as Johann Sebatian Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Joseph Haydyn and others. Just one thing that Vivaldi composed still held on and it was this that led to his music being re-vived in the early part of the 20th century and now everything he composed is once again as popular as ever. That one thing was his four violin concertos known as "The Four Seasons" or in Italian "Le Quattro Stagioni". And what I said earlier about some hundreds of orchestras around the world having recorded these was way too low. There are about 10,000 orchestras around the world that have recorded this piece of music. Nothing that Mozart or any other composer has written has been recorded by so many orchestras. I am going to pick a random example of this from youtube.com, because there are hundreds to choose from.
