Attention: There is a prevalent email scam happening everywhere where the sender claims to have a password to a site and demands money in some form. Ignore it, do not respond and at most change passwords on any sites you frequent.

Effective immediately, moving or animated GIFs are not allowed in signatures. If your signature has one, please remove or replace it asap. Staff will remove them as and when we see them without notice.

Sincerest apologies to everyone for the recent blackout. VEF and several of our sister forums had a major server malfunction. The database index is being rebuilt from scratch and may take at least several days to be fully restored. Expect major weirdness and lots of glitches in the meantime. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Unfortunately it seems that all of the posts made from the 13th March until the crash are permanently lost, please feel free to re-post any such material, apologies for this.

Yes, there has been a problem with an imagehost he sometimes uses. postimg.org is apparently gone forever, but the pics are not, and are available on postimg.cc. It will take a while, but the BB-codes for each image in each affected post will have to be changed

This is the best information I have at present. I have switched the BB-codes in a couple of posts from postimg.org to postimg.cc and they do indeed work on the new URL, so it's possible that image losses will be minimal
