So, I've only tried them for downloads of tiny clips, but even that's been impossible lately. Upon using their links, I always get a fake ransomware pop-up that requires me to restart my browser. If I try again, 1Fichier imposes a timeout due to the download I didn't get, and even when I manage to resubmit, the download invariably fails.

Yet, I see more and more uploaders using their service, which means I'll have less and less interest in these boards.
If you're getting ransomware popups, it sounds like you might have a malware issue. I would suggest clearing the cache on your browser and scanning your system.

Something is interrupting your network connection and I have seen malware do this.

I should note that, currently, Depositfiles is pretty good for a free user. They do make you wait for a stretch between downloads, but the download speed isn't ridiculously slow.

Unable to access 1fichier in the last few days. On Firefox it's being blocked by No Script's ABE and on IE it's being blocked by Malwarebytes.

I can access all other hosts with no issue.

Anyone else having similar problems currently?

I have the same problem. For the past few days JDownloader doesn't find the name or size of the file and goes into a loop waiting for a connection. When I just click on the link I get a script error. Today, Malwarebytes blocks it (Malwarebytes shouldn't care what browser you're using).

Not having any issues from NoScript and Avast says everything is fine. Could be a Malwarebytes false positive.....

www.virustotal gives 1fichier a clean bill of health so a false positive for malwarebytes sounds right - their real time protection is always aggressive

Theres a lot of info on ghacks with relation to No Script
You can add exclusions for Abe apparently via advanced

How to add custom site exclusions to NoScript

NoScript's Application Boundaries Enforcer (ABE).
It is a powerful module that allows you to add custom configurations to NoScript.

Plenty of better browsers than IE as a 2nd option

Malwarebytes real time protection could be going off because IE is a security time bomb

If you want to know how big a security nightmare IE is run the kaspersky free security scan

I disabled No Script briefly and tried to download from 1fichier again. Here is the message I got from Firefox:

For what it's worth, I get the same message as fjrules when using Firefox. Tried Edge (which I hate) and it won't connect at all. Using IE I get this message:

This page can’t be displayed

Turn on TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2 in Advanced settings and try connecting to https://1fichier.com again. If this error persists, it is possible that this site uses an unsupported protocol or cipher suite such as RC4 (link for the details), which is not considered secure. Please contact your site administrator.

I'm just going to wait it out and hopefully the issue resolves itself.

This reported issue relates to the same error message

3 years ago - 7 pages before an answer - its not clear wether the ISP fixed the issue
or users changing firefox settings did going by the chosen solution

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/976504

It would appear to possibly be an ISP issue that only affects firefox

hello Happi4gramma, nothing has changed in firefox - a shaw representative on the help section of their homepage stated that they have managed to fix the issue on their part.

Shaw internet in Surrey

Temporary solution: use another browser or use a proxy/VPN

Chosen solution

Make sure to reset the security.tls.version.max pref to 1 if you have previously changed this pref to 0 to disable TLS 1.0

How to enable TLS 1.0 in Firefox Browser?
