About Susan...the sexiest bikini beach girl overall...married at 24 AIP's owner James Nicholson meeting him on set of The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini (1966). the AIP excutive was father of fellow BBGs actresses Lauree (Holmes) and Laura, Nicholson died 8 years later, brain tumor, leaving some AIP's movies right to Susan.

This flawed transparency was treated by me in two different ways.

I had great trouble finding this thread for Susan Hart, as I explained in an obscure thread called "Susan Hart (Moved)" (where others were asking if there was a thread for Susan Hart).

I have colorized these two webfinds. First was I.D.'ed as an eBay presentation, second
from the lady's 1968 episode of THE WILD WILD WEST, her last screen appearance.

Since I did some work on that post which no one will read, and since I came across references on this sweet-Hart while looking around, I figured I'd whip this one up for Susan's own thread (especially since this here joint ain't jumpin'... and could use a little more flesh on the bones).


Looking cute from some film, as shown in the documentary mentioned below.

I watched a very entertaining documentary put up on YouTube regarding the subpar film studio that produced so many films that I grew up with and have an appreciation for, called It Conquered Hollywood! The Story of American International Pictures (2001; it was produced for the cable network, American Movie Classics, or AMC). What led me to this production was a post I prepared on Beverly Garland, who appeared in several A.I.P. films in the fifties, and who spoke in the documentary.


"Present day" Susan, at least from over twenty years ago.

Another speaker was Susan Hart, and she looked so fetching (even though she, born in 1941, must have been around sixty at the time), I had to find out more about her. It wasn't just her looks; she also exhibited a winning personality (unlike, I was surprised to see, Beverly Garland... who came across as a bit grating).



Susan was so cute at one point (in this film) as she described how one of the A.I.P. chiefs, James Nicholson, took a shine to her. (Which Member "ManInMotion#33" clued visitors in on, in his composition from two posts up. By the way, ManInMotion#33 really put his heart into this post, and I appreciated it.)


With husband Nicholson, a marriage lasting for eight years, and which resulted
in a child. Susan got married again almost a decade later, and that union lasted for
forty-two years, until the Harvard professor's death two months ago.

Since no one is going to read my post from the other thread, let me recycle its ending:

While looking around, I came across this very useful page that has identified all of the women from Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine... Since Susan was the main "bikini machine" with a "kiss" button and a "kill" button (the fact that she caught A.I.P. studio boss James H. Nicholson's eye and heart was no doubt beneficial), her images were triple the rest: Number One and Number Two and Number Three.


I'm laying out the collages above, for greater convenience. (Good thing too, because at the
moment the latter two links from the paragraph above failed to work.)

Some interesting tidbits from Susan's IMDb biography: "In 1963, she was chosen as a Hollywood Deb Star;" In addition, Ms. Hart took over the production company Nicholson left behind (as the documentary explained, his divorce led to problems with partner Samuel Arkoff, and Nicholson left A.I.P. for 20th Century-Fox), and she supervised the completion of The Legend of Hell House (1973) and Dirty Mary Crazy Larry (1974), both of which turned out to be successful.

Susan was on the cover of the "War-Gods of the Deep" comic book in 1965. Next: With actor Fred Clark
in a scene from DR. GOLDFOOT AND THE BIKINI MACHINE (1965). She would reprise her role of "Diane"
in the sequel from the same year, THE WILD WEIRD WORLD OF DR. GOLDFOOT.

Also: "During the 1970s and 1980s, she remained a 'silent partner' owner of about 40 Nicholson-produced AIP motion pictures of the 1950s, later acquiring direct ownership of ten of these films, including her personal favorite I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957)." The biography continued with how she later cut a country-western record, and got involved with figure skating.
