Default Let me explain the current political situation

Hey there. I know you are frustrated, hungry, and tired. A lot of you are also unemployed and feel powerless to do anything about it. In your confusion and disarming, you might feel tempted to towards hate and fear.
Fear not! I have come to explain the political situation in the United States of America as it relates to the common citizen.

The answer to all political questions in the United States is :

Nobody expects the middle and poor working classes to survive.

Understand?

You sir, are absolutely 100% correct.
However, you are overlooking one important aspect: whoever said it was the middle and poor working class that had to keep "the rich rich?" That is what other countries are for. China is growing, but it won't last forever. Turkey and Poland have the world's 17th and 18th largest economies respectively.

You see, the education system was lobbied to U.S. Federal Government on behalf corporations to improve working skills of U.S. citizens. The middle class in America was formed by unions and support from Catholic church.
Today, with highly advanced technology - and it will improve (see: robotics over the next 100 years) - manufacturing televisions, video games, cars, etc. a small standing work force of highly paid professionals is not required. An enormous standing work force of below poverty line workers laboring for a pittance serves just as well. Highly skilled jobs requiring masters and doctorate degrees? Simple enough: it doesn't take thousands of masters and doctorates to develop high technology; a few will do.
Technology for the middle and poor working class in America - who cares. Their tech is cheap, breakable, and replaceable (see: manufacturing in Pakistan, China, Mexico, etc.)
You might ask about roads and infrastructure. Why repair a road and highway system for people who don't have the money to travel in the first place?

The disaster at Katrina. Last year's tornadoes in the South. Earthquake and hurricane Irene in the East and New England. Accute water shortage in the South-West U.S.

Nobody expects the middle and poor working class of U.S. to survive.

I am sure one of these fine people will rise up to save the middle and poor working class from their problems.

The current prosperity of China will lead only to the collapse of communism.

When you have nothing and the system wants to take from those who have and give it to you, then you are all for that system. Now that more people are haves as opposed to have nots redistribution doesn't seem so wonderful. As the hard line communists die off they will be replaced by soft socialists then democrats.

As the western world loses more jobs and prosperity the call for redistribution will become louder. As the hard line capitalists die off they will be replaced with soft socialists then communists.

In none of the scenarios do we need or have the will for dictatorships or royalty. Although during transition phases they may rear their ugly heads.

You don't understand, Comrade. It isn't Communism or any other system that matters - it is that The Party controls things. Is this not clear?

So join it!

If this is the kind of Party you mean Comrade, I'd consider joining.

I don't quite understand your point? The party and its politics are one. In a democracy, the parties present their platforms and policies and the people choose. In communism there is only one party and the people are told what the party wants.

So join it! If you are referring to me joining a communist party then all I can say is "FAT F**KING CHANCE". I want to lessen the government's control over my life not extend it. I do not, and will never, want to live in a nanny state. Absolute control corrupts absolutely, give a politician control over your life and you will never be so completely screwed.
You know what you call a ship load of politicians on the ocean floor? A good start.

Well done ... This is a simple explanation of what should happen to the economies of the world as they progress through their inevitable cycles.

None of those people can save us from our problems. Most don't want to. Here's the only Mortal pictured who understands part of what the problem is though.

Government can't save us from our problems. Government IS the problem.

Seriously, I think libertarians have a mental age of about 4-6, because they think like small children in a little bubble that only contains themselves

I find it shocking that libertarians can make it to high office
