Achille Devéria - Erotic lithos from the 19th century

I hope this is the right place for these beautiful illustrations.

Achille Devéria was a French painter and lithographer who lived in the 1st part of the 19th century (1800-1857). He did a lot of standard illustrations (portraits of aristocrats and paintings of biblical themes for churches) but he is remembered mainly for his vivid high quality erotic lithos and drawings he was doing in between.

Below are some lithos of the Biedermeier period done in 1835.

These illustrations have been made for an erotic 19th century book called Gamiani written by Alfred de Musset. A story about lesbians. These are some of the very few lesbian scenes he did.

I love his Napoleon.

He did over 100 erotics lithos and drawings. I'll post more soon and will upload in one folder later.

VIE de FAUBLAS (Life of Faublas)
Done c.1840.

The sexual adventure of Chevalier de Faublas. These aristocrats knew how to have fun. But do not envy them, these lithos were done a few decades before they all get their head cut off for the good of mankind.

In 2006, the 12 lithos were sold 3000 Euros at Christies (if you are interested
