i'd be fairly certain I just did two downloads on another forum from someone i know hasn't got the traffic share thing enabled. Two lots of 400mb in 3-4 minutes each.

The wjunction thread still shows their cash payment scheme is over heating
They arent responding to emails - thats been ongoing for a fair while

Like so many hosts their completely opaque when it comes to why

They might be trying to drive the fly by night cash posters away without closing their rewards scheme or something else

Last time a host opened the download flood gates for free users - rapidshare

PS

Jumping to conclusions is never smart with hosts

They might just be trying to lure free downloaders by showing them the premium download speeds for free as rapidshare once did

Buttsie can you explain 'over heating' on the cash payment system. If it means no one is getting paid you will hear me laughing wherever you are in the world (it's a personal thing between me and someone who ripped my forum off).

Yes, that is what buttsie is alluding to.

I have 1,050 days remaining on my subscription

They weren't as bad with speed and seemed to be what everyone was using....back in 2014....

I don´t know. All I can say is that in the past, there has never been a "early month" quicker download-scenario @ Filefactory. Perhaps they have it now, days to come will will prove it either this or the other way.

The files I referred to were all from "free users" (including me, while doing periodical DL´s in order to keep some older files staying for another 90 days)

They use traffic share where certain amount of GB a month is treated as if you were a premium member. Once the traffic limit is exhausted they revert back to free method.

Guess you best all download from FF then if speed increased. Make the most of it

This must be new then - they never did so in the past. Do you have this information directly from FileFactory?

no it's not new been around for a few years at least. There's something in account settings to enable traffic share so if you have a paid account the first 100gb of downloads per month download as if even free users were premium members. I don't think if you are getting paid back that you can enable this feature though i could be wrong. I'm downloading a FF file now which is going at normal speed so maybe it was a 24 hour thing.
