Saw a documentary on Star Wars last year and they interviewed Kurtz. Another loss to the Star Wars original line up(crew) having lost a star, Carrie Fisher last year. Cancer is a real bastard!

a mid-air collision occurred over San Diego, with a total of 144 lives lost - including 7 people on the ground. I had taken off early from work that day and was traveling north on 805, and was only about 3 miles north of the spot where the plane went down. First I knew was a radio report, and when I pulled off the road was able to look back and see the column of smoke. RIP to all of those who lost their lives.

I was in the US Navy at that time, stationed in San Diego. My ship was in port, and my friends and I heard (on the radio) about the crash. We immediately ran topside, to the bridge wing of the ship. Looking toward San Diego, we could see the column of smoke rising from where the PSA flight had crashed.

Former NBA head coach Jack McKinney died at the age of 83.

McKinney coached the Los Angeles Lakers, Indiana Pacers and Kansas City Kings across six seasons. He compiled a 136-215 record.

"We are saddened by the passing of Jack McKinney, who served as head coach of 3 NBA teams," the Miami Heat said in a statement. "Our sincere thoughts and condolences are with the McKinney family."

Beloved comic artist Norm Breyfolge has sadly passed away.
One of my favorite artist - who managed to showcase his skills on so many different titles like Prime, Avengers, Bloodshot, but will always be remembered for his Batman.

Norm suffered a stroke in 2014 and it is not currently known if it contributed to his untimely death.

I am not ashamed to say that I have the double single of Postman Pat/Ted Glenn(Handyman song) in my collection. Someone bought it for me and they are catchy tunes. I recently revisited the updated version of Postman Pat on Cbeebies and I think it is very good a lot more PC than the original but for me the origianl will always be the best. Sad loss. Known as Pat-San in Japan.
