It seems to me that the forum is in a state of flux this morning. I could be wrong, but it might be that many members are out doing their Christmas shopping today, getting those last special gifts before they're gone from the stores. Go for it guys!!

I can't speak for everyone, but the first thing I did today was shovel snow. Nothing quite like starting the day with a good work out.

I think we got overnight what you got, but fortunately it fizzled out by the time it got here and only dropped about an inch or two, and then turned over to rain and was out of here by the afternoon.

It's true. those darn weathermen. All that came down was a quarter inch of snow. You dumb weather idiots. BTW are all you guys shopping for that special gift for your significant others. Here is a little story from my past. About 37 years ago I was working as a biochem tech at a major Chicago hospital. My direct lab supervisor was a guy called G.K He had a girlfriend I will call B. She told him just what she wanted for Christmas, but this is what he got her:

A ceramic duck (planter). We heard the day after Christmas from him that when she opened this present and saw this duck planter, she went nuts and started to scream at him. "What am I supposed to do with this?!!!", and she threw it against the wall in G.K'S apartment, and it broke into a thousand pieces. After that outburst, she went on and on for weeks about this stupid thing that G.K got for her. After just a few more months they broke up, which was good, because B was a darn bitch. A few years later G.K. found another woman (the right woman) and married her.

Guys: don't let this kind of thing happen to you. Get your significant other the right present!!

Like that. Not long after I married (first or second Christmas) Mrs alal commented on an advert for a particular type of Vacuum Cleaner that she would like one. i got it her for Christmas. Big mistake, she said "if you get me anything with a plug on it again for Christmas or Birthday, I'll hit you with it"

Jewelery from then on!
