This is a fantastic idea for a thread!
Very nice work! I was always wondering what music Alpha Blue Archives was using for their stuff. Is there an OST for classics like The Opening of Misty Beethoven or Barbara Broadcast? |

Here's an odd one from the 70s 'roughie' Winter Heat. I've heard two different songs over the last scene with Jamie Gillis and Jenny Lane. John Klemmer's jazz-fusion song 'Touch' is one. The other is a 70s disco hit, which name escapes me (I'll think of it at about 3am). The disco tune is on the ABA version.
This is clearly from the era when record companies didn't always go after pornos using their music. I guess first a music exec would have to admit that they'd seen the porno! |

regarding "inside deep note" post #40.
this baby is a partial fakeroonie. most of the dialog is taken from "Vista Valley pta", despite what the titles say for the spoken word pieces. and whilst some of the music is original, some of it is by avant jazz prog band Mushroom recorded around 2000. see if you can tell the difference ... it's still a great album though. |

In Barbara Broadcast there's a B&D scene at the end with Jamie Gillis & Constance Money, with two pieces of music underlying the scene. The first piece is a moody kind of thing with drums and some bass. Does anyone know what that music is?
There's some faster-paced music at the end of the scene, I swear I've heard that second piece on NFL films or something like that. I'd like to know what both pieces of music are; but I'm mostly interested in that first, brooding number. Thanks |

Awesome thread guys!!!
Here's a few flicks and soundtrack cuts I'm searching for: 1. New York Babes (1978) Starring Gloria Leonard and John Leslie. The slow song playing during the party scene/sex scene at the end. 2. Platinum Paradise (1980) directed by Cecil Howard. The title track. 3. Neon Nights (1981) also directed by Cecil Howard. The title track. Any help finding these gems would be greatly appreciated. |

Okay...is it me or...
I love the awwweeesommme tread about the two things that matters: Music and Porn.
Now, I am wondering if old Tori Wells/Randy Spears epic flick, "Night Trips" should be considered Vintage. It's almost 20 years since Tori graced her lovely pussy over our TV screens and finger herself towards orgasim (and to our blowing our load also) to the beat of a composer named "Burke"...while she tells her fantasy lover the immortal words- "You wanna Fuck or What?!!" Anybody knows if there's a OST album or something on Night Trips...if so, please post or point me the way to get it? |

I definitely agree with Sixtiesfan -- Funk and disco just seem to groove the best for hardcore sex. In fact, you can refer to porno just by imitating that Isaac Hays style chicken scratch funk bass line. It's a sort of shibboleth. Anybody who's seen pre-Internet porn knows exactly what you mean! Sometimes the producers would try to class it up by throwing in a soft orchestral arrangement; however, Debussy and porn don't jibe. It sounds cheesy in softcore and absurd in hardcore. In contrast, I've seen speed metal used in scenes, music sounding like Ministry or Megadeth, but this music is too angry and gives a flavor of rape to the sex, which turns me off.
Internet porn is generally bereft of music. When it's a dickhead and his video camera, he either doesn't have the bucks to pay for the rights, or doesn't want to cut his bottom line to pay for it. Why spend the bucks when the frat boys who are gonna subscribe to your site don't know the difference? I've seen a few Internet pornos where they guys making the video plunked a few chords on a cheap Casio attempting an atmosphere. That's even more embarrassing! Legal question: If you leave a radio station playing in the background, do you owe royalties to any artist who just happens to be broadcast on the station and recorded on your video? I've seen this tactic before. In one video, they had an adult contemporary station playing, and just as the guy started shagging the girl, Howard Jones' "No One is to Blame" came on. You can't make a porno to Howard Jones! Sorry, doesn't work! Even worse, I've heard television in the background. I'm watching two women doing 69 to a Jon Stewart monologue. I love to watch two women do 69, and I love to hear a Jon Stewart monologue, but simultaneously, they kinda cancel each other out! |
