It''s really a shame that George R.R. Martin fell behind the TV production in getting the books out. While he did outline the main direction of the stories, the producers have been writing the scripts and dialogue. Watching the latest Game of Thrones episodes, his master's touch was sorely missing. Star Wars level of plot and dialogue.

Maybe I will get a chance to read the series. From what I have read on websites as much as half the plot lines are missing, which takes away from the depth and complexity of characters. And where the hell is Melisandre and what is she up to?
