No, more's the pity. This reminded me of our previous conversation Medium2, about Jane Warner........It is as I feared and she hasn't answered the email I sent her. However, I must bow to your superior knowledge about the demise date of S & S. Ah..the battles with old age and memory!!!

Pity she didn't answer the email 'cause she might even have the S & S pics herself. I would just love to see them.

Somebody else was thinking that she (Jane) is not yet 50yo, but I think she is 50 yo now, this year, but again, I wouldn't stake next month's pension on it!

I also had a short phone conversation with Nicola Tailor around the same time as the Laura one. She wasn't as friendly, was a bit guarded and reluctant to come up with any information, claiming that "Nicola Tailor" was her real name.

I agree it is a shame that we have so little information about what happened to those ladies. It would be great if some of them would be willing to post here or on one of the BB yahoo groups. I believe that there are a couple of models from that era who have their own websites, but they are mainly ones who modeled for Harrison Marks.

I used to love Spick and Span and the related magazine Beautiful Britons when I was a teenager. I was born in 1958, so I was a teenager in the 1970s, but I found an old stash of these magazines once, and thought they were incredible. I loved some poses more than others - for instance, there were occasional pics where the women put their fingertips into the waistbands of their knickers, as though asking "Would you like me to take them off for you?" Ah, sweet memories!

Pity about the fireguard! First time I've seen one used in that way!

Probably, but you cannot blame them for wishing to keep their privacy. It is understandable. And we do have the photographs to keep their memory warm.

Completely agree about the privacy aspect. But as most of the models used aliases anyway (I think!) and needn't be too specific, what harm would there be?
