For most of their life they limited files to 200mb

Only in 11/2017 they went to 500mb - according to their blog

Their business model says you only use them for content that is going to be active
every 30 days minimum or you'll be re-upping every month

Review 14th/12/2018

ZippyShare is particularly popular in the DJ community, with both amateur and professional DJs using the file-sharing site as a source of material and exchanging ideas.

Many users of ZippyShare have complained about its automatic deleting of the files following 30 days of inactivity.

ZippyShare makes the storing and sharing of files quick and easy. However, it definitely isn’t a platform that will suit the business community, nor one that cant be recommended for long-term storage.

The only downsides for zippy that I'm aware of are file size restriction (was max 200MB, now 500MB) and longevity -- or lack thereof -- of files that are not downloaded for 30 days. The file size maximum is only a problem for larger files, which must be split into 500MB chunks. But if your links are frequently dying after a short lifespan of only a month or two, that can be a drag. I don't know if the longevity issue is still a problem; these things can vary a lot over time, and I haven't hosted any files there myself nor heard anything lately from those who do.

Anyone had recent experience hosting files at zippyshare?
I think you have pinpointed the up- and downsides accurately Denaniel. Any non-cash poster would have to consider how much time one wants to use on expired links. I remember my time with multi-hosting options like Mirrorcreator where you could upload to several hosts at once. In the end it was an unpredictable mess of dead and online links.

So the lack of an affordable premium option at Zippyshare is a deal breaker for me. If you have 10 files to manage Zippyshare is pretty good. But 1000+. No way! I also prefer unsplit files but that is not as important as the lack of a premium option.

I know some DJs that preferably use Share-Online.
