Thanks to all for any help, but all is lost. I can't record anything through the digital format, only analog through S-Video + Composite audio.
I went & spent about $100 on a HD Tuner card that came with it's own software. I open the program & can see my TV on my PC, but once I click the record button, I get a message saying I can't record because the content is protected. My only saving grace is that it came with doggle cables to hook up pretty much anything I can think of. I can finally do VHS rips, hook up my PS3 etc. so I didn't completely waste my money. It's extremely frustrating, because I can download HD shows online, but I can't do it myself. Oh well, I give up. To Hell with movie industry. Now, they're not getting any money from me again. They're putting out nothing but crap these days anyway so no great loss for me. Thanks again for any & all help. I appreciate it you guys. |

Help. Reencode multiangle DVD in multiangle single file (mkv, mp4)
This is a quite specific issue not covered in other threats.
What I want to do. Reencode a multiangle DVD in one single file maintaining all the angles. Ie: a 100 min file with 10 chapters of 10 min each. Chapter 3 and 7 have 2 angles. I'd like to have one 100 min stream with the main angle + one stream of 20 min. for the 2nd angle of chapters 3 and 7 (or 2 streams of 10 min. for each chapter). What I don't want to do. Have as many video streams of the whole film as angles has the DVD. In the former example, have 2 video streams of 100 min. each one. What I know. I know that matroska (mkv files) supports multiangle files (see: http://doom10.org/index.php?topic=10.0). I ignore if mp4 supports such feature. They're several programs that can rip DVDs to mp4 or mkv reencoding its content. Some of them are compatible with multiangle DVD (as Handbrake), but only allows to maintain one single angle. What I have done. I've tried MakeMKV 1.7.0.0, but doesn't fit my needs (creates several mkv files without reencoding). I've google looking for a solution and I found a page (http://mod16.org/hurfdurf/?p=8) that could solve the problem, but unfortunately is rather technical and I didn't succeed. If anyone knows how to do it, a guide, how-to or tutorial is welcome. Thanks. Last edited by hos; January 8th, 2012 at 02:49 PM.. Reason: merged post.- this topic is covered by this thread. |

Free YouTube to MP3 Converter is a wonderfully easy way to rip the audio from YouTube videos and save it to your PC in MP3 format. It works well on both Windows and Mac platforms. You’ll only need a couple of clicks to get started with this converter https://notmp3.com
