Why doesn't one of the Australian members create their own thread just for Australians, so you could talk about all things Australian, just as the UK members talk about everything in the UK on the thread: Things Noticeable This Week.

This thread called: What if you lived in Australia? is not really for Australians, but for members from other nations who might be thinking of what it would be like to live in Australia as palo5 talks about on the very first post!

We get up, we go to work, we catch public transport we got to bars and restaurants, we have sex, get married, have kids...In truth it's pretty much like living anywhere else in the urban world. All the other stuff you hear about is just for the tourists

Nah, I don't mind. I had fantasies about the American West. Fantasies put paid to by visits to Deadwood and The Alamo sadly.
