Leslie Bainbridge was a superb photographer and a pioneer in showing and discussing the depilated look as he called it. For many years, he was the only one doing so.

Are the ones posted above on 3 August taken by Bainbridge? He usually only went for full nudes, rather than underwear and absolutely insisted that his models were immaculately shaven?

I think most of them were actually taken by Murray Wren.

I remember reading an essay by Leslie Bainbridge about his policy of only photographing shaved models. Unfortunately as with so many things on the internet, I didn't save it and can't remember where I saw it. If anyone knows where to find it, please let us know.

Nice to see Hazel Bradshaw on here. Was she ever shot in colour? I haven't seen any colour images of her

Thanks for posting these beautiful photos. Some of the very first photos of naked women I ever remember seeing were in an old copy of Health and Efficiency owned by my Dad when I was very young. That would have been in the 1960s, and I do remember asking him why all the women were shaved - I had seen that my Mum wasn't. I'm afraid I don't remember his answer :-)
