Your earliest memory
How far back is your clearest memory? I used to work with a woman who recalled seeing her parents looking at her in the cradle (!) which I find questionable.
My earliest vivid memory is arriving for the first time at my childhood home at about 3 1/2 years old. It was at night and I remember my family unloading the car as I tried to sleep in the back seat. The doors were always being opened and the dome light kept me awake as well as a moth that flittered around it. |

My earliest vivid memory is of a toy.
I think it was called a "moon buggy". My parents put batteries in it and as you pushed it around on the living room carpet a small dome on top of it changed colour. Something about the changing colours fascinated me (and still does). It's a very hazy memory/image, a very nice one. |

I can remember being in a pram, and my grandad pushing me. He would push the pram and let go of it, then grab it again. I can remember laughing as he did it. I don't know how old I was but definitely under 2.
Cheers, Dumbassgo.

I remember climbing on top of the back of the couch and there was a window up there. My dad had enclosed the garage and made a den out of it so there was this window in the middle of the wall. On that window ledge my mother kept a small calendar there given to us by some insurance agent or something like that.
I remember looking at that calendar and seeing it was the year 1968. I was born in August of 1965 so that would have to put me about 2 1/2 or 3 years old.

My tonsils had to be removed, so I was spending a few days in the hospital. Coincidentally, my mother gave birth to my sister during these days and in the same hospital. I don't remember the exact situation but I was standing at the window and shouting "I want to see my sister". I probably saw my parents outside after my mother was free to go home. That was in 1987 when I was 3 years old.

I can remember being in a pram and my Granda tickling me. I have a very sharp long term memory, but my short term memory is a bit blunt these days.
