Default ...Meanwhile on an Isle somewhere to the south.

We've had a mild summer down below, a few hot afternoons yet until the past week or two a regular weekly rain. Everyone who grows has been remarking on how tomato's have ripened early. Grass was thick and lush, but has died off, now that summer's over.

I was out at three this morning setting fire to a rubbish heap during a rain period, confident the nearby dead grass wouldn't ignite.

We have these

If your car hits one, it can be death for both of you -- they're about 2 meters tall at the shoulder, and weigh around 700 kg

If you google "hirvikolari" and switch to images, you'll see the damage they can do to an auto and vice versa

Hell yeah Koala's and Wombats might look small and cute, but they can get a reasonable size, I hit one on the Hume Highway doing about 120, the damage they do to the front of a car can be significant, Problem is people know that and swerve to avoid them, creating a bigger danger.

Boating season is almost over. It ends in April. Get your sailboats, and motorboats in that ocean to do some fishing before the Great Whites come!
