set it to Code:
pic*num*.*ext* but honestly, i wouldn't recommend to rename them. very often a filename includes useful info. |

Hello, a bit of help please. I recently had to re-set my username/password, and was able to do the stuff I used to do, but recently: "I may not post attachments" with any message to to any forum. (I have a couple contributions waiting) Did I mess something up or miss an update? Sorry to bother, I'm not the best computer person.

The attachment function has been disabled for some time now.
Use one of the recommended Filehosts. |

Hello ! Does anybody know of a practical beginners guide for photoshop maybe later illustrator? I'm trying to get my head round photoshop at present but find it extremely user unfriendly , have seen loads of guides online but they are not really cutting the mustard
Any advice very welcome Thanks

your question tells me that you have really no idea
illustrator is a complete different approach of graphic design (vector based), and tutorials you need to make your first steps with photoshop won't help you much to get into the world of illustrator (and vice versa). imho the photoshop software already includes good practice tuturials you can learn from, the main problem for beginners is that photoshop looks very overloaded with so many functions that it's hard to find the tools you really need. so in your case i would first try to define what you want to learn or what functions you need for the design tasks you have on your agenda. then i guess it's more easy to find the tuturial which helps you with your first steps, if general tutorials haven't done it for you. btw... if you don't like the idea of buying the software to gain its full support, try gimp. it's free and it offers much of the functionality you have with photoshop: http://www.gimp.org/ |

not me, sorry. my knowledge on illustrator is very rudimental. can't help you much with that.
but if you need to create vector based graphics, stop using photoshop. waste of time. |
