McAfee users... Frequent updates?

So... McAfee users, I've been seeing an update *every day* now, for about 2 weeks. Anyone know what's up with that? Used to be only once a month or so.

Yes, very regular here. Not daily perhaps, but certainly every 2-3 days.

Actually, this has probably been going on for quite a while (can't be totally sure as I don't use McAfee). But AVG updates its database at least once a day and sometimes more often. Most all AV programs update daily and a lot of spyware apps now update daily (Malwarebyes and SuperAntiSpyware).

Virus' and spyware are updated so often now that it would be somewhat irresponsible for a company not to update daily.

Only daily updates? My Eset antivirus and Emsisoft Anti-Malware update several times a day, if they only updated once a day I'd think something was wrong.

Are u talking about program updates (patches) or virus database updates ? If u are talking about virus database updates: a anti-virus program which is not updated with new virus signatures every day is a bad program. Do you know that every day dozens or hundreds of new viruses appear in the www and so ur antivirus tool has to be updated to protect u from these.

I have AVG Internet Security 2013...and I am very impressed as I am sick to death of over imposing programs...just worth giving a bash.
