Oh! Absolutely - I in no way impugn your contribution - please forgive if I in any way give that impression.

It's just that classical musicians so often "borrowed" from the folk tradition without properly attributing the tunes - most likely made up by a peasant with a battered fiddle on a secluded island croft than any bewigged gentleman at his harpsichord.
