Perhaps, this scenario is why many pundits feel that a Congressional power shift is in the offing this November and many of us feel that Trump is a one term president.

As my dear ex-wife was fond of saying, "Corporate America is stupid." Typically the best way for employees to get raises is to take their skills to other companies. This results in both their new company and their former employer bearing the costs of training and recruiting in addition to paying the increased market level wages. Just as it is much cheaper to retain and upsell your existing customers, it is very costly and inefficient to turnover your workforce.

Studies have shown that roughly 85% of all managers are so incompetent that they actually cost their firms money. I know it is a big pain to change jobs. Thus, I recommend giving your employer only the minimum two weeks notice when you have located your new position in order to inflict the maximum amount of pain for their stupidity.

P.S. I read in an article yesterday that the labor market is so tight that some employers have been resorting to hiring bonuses to attract skilled workers. It reminds me of when a recruiter asked my my help in finding a tax specialist at a time when I was consulting. I checked with the tax guys I was interfacing with and reported back that his idiot client was offering roughly $20K below the market rate for the desired skills and experience.

It seems that Mr Trump and his administration have not been able to explain to their allies and to their former partners in the Iran nuclear treaty about what the intended next step will be.
Quote:
"We asked what is Plan B, what will be the next step," said a European official. "The answer was we have not had time to prepare Plan B because of the change of people at the National Security Council."
"We have not had time to prepare Plan B."

Really?

America's allies, including the British, have been desperately trying and failing for weeks to divert Mr Trump from his declared antipathy towards the Iran nuclear treaty. Without a doubt, this issue has been under discussion. But there are no plans for an alternative to the treaty? Smash down the house without even having a tent to shelter us all from the wind and rain?

Donald Trump is an idiot.
We could close this thread after this sound statement

As for the (possible) negotiations with Kim Yong-Un, we also need to expect that "Mr. Whig with orange skin" has no Plan B either.

I´d bet my *ss that the North Korean counterpart will be far better prepared and will perhaps show the entire world how politically incompetent and mentally inferior this actual POTUS is.

First I am not sure just who WE are that could close it.
Second no closure just a simple modding.

I heard a very interesting political observation.

"Iran respected the Occidental treaties and is today under an illegitimate pressure of the USA.
North Korea didn't respect treaties, developped the nuclear bomb and USA have to speak like everybody around the table with North Korean leader.

So... it seems to be better to not respect the US rules if you don't want to be betrayed one day..."
