For me to, i can recommend it to all, you need to register to get a 365 day free license but thats easy (few minutes) and trusted.

When I click on a Rapishare link to download, the Rapishare screen requires me to register as a free user. This would be fine, except that there is no registration taking place, and thus no Rapidshare downloads.

I was able to register with Rapidshare by being persistent.

My question is: Am I able to utilize Rapidshare as a free user like I could a short time ago? I know it's slower but I currently don't desire to use Rapishare for large volumes.

I followed the instructions on the "Corrupted Files" part above. What if it still doesn't work? It keeps sayin g that the second, shorter files is corrupt when I know I did it right.

today to my great surprise I 've discovered Deposite Files lifted their accustomed ban against so called ""parallel downloads""for the free users
what remains by now is quite tolerable 4 minute time- out
not long ago RapideShare has made the same - exacerbation of competitive fighting ?

All Rapidshare links take me straight to the sign up and log in page and gives no option to download as a free user. Any ideas?

As a Rapidshare free user the best download sped I have been able to achieve is 35 Kb/sec.

This is half of my rated download speed (slow DSL at 70 Kb/sec.

I asked a friend who has high speed DSL to try a Rapidshare download (same link) and he only achieved a 35 Kb/sec rate.

Has Rapidshare locked the download speed for free users at that rate?

yes it's been locked at that rate since a couple of weeks after megaupload was taken out. So in effect rendering rapidshare useless to the majority of people.
