Meanwhile this afternoons value buy from the 'Home Bargains' chain of stores.

£1.39 a bottle and I got a couple of Wainwrights for the same price, never tried it before but the label says it's award winning.

Today's drink is from Germany: Aktien Braurei Kaufbeuren Doppelbock Buronator.
Pours a dark reddish brown with a beige colored head that has lots of carbonation. Alcohol content 7.5%. Tastes of sweet toasted malts, caramel, toffee, molasses, some coffee and also cherries and plums. Just a slight hint of hop bitterness. Very good overall.

Just in the door and time for a swift one. This is lovely and my favourite of the Home Bargains value £1.39 purchases. Pale, but not a lager, a light ale which is properly thirst-quenching at 4:30 in the afternoon having been out since 06:00. Hoppy but not overdone like some of these boutique brews where they overdo the hop content. Slightly flowery and with a citrus overtone.

Decided to stagger outside my current Casa`Del`MaxJoker abode earlier this morning at 6am , and take a quick snap.

In fact and as can be seen I staggered so fast my residual V.E.F essence was still boldly on display when I took the photo
