I have indeed frequented my local hostelry tonight...and did not have to pay a penny.

My usual drinking companion insisted on paying this week as I helped him out big time with a little misunderstanding last weekend.

Mind you, I did stick to apple juice and coffee today as I need to be clear-headed tomorrow morning. But it is great to be treated.

Today's drink is from Germany: St. Pauli Girl a pilsner type beer. Very pale , but clear yellow color which when pours produces a small head. Alcohol content is 4.9%. Tastes of mild malt sweetness and hop is almost like a mild floral tea flavor. Dry aftertaste. Rather poor overall.

Sobberish tonight. Was taken to the pub yesterday for my birthday. Not sure when we got to bed but it certainly was today. Just surfaced 6 hours ago and needed a good old fry up, even although it was at tea time. Good thinking taking today off work. I hope work does not involve me driving tomorrow, 12 noon start.

Oh well 21 again.

Labbatt Blue is a lager and a-lot heavier than Molson Canadian which is an ale.
I enjoy it best on a hot day but be warned, there is nothing worse that next day "Blue farts".
