What human trait can you not stand

My wife is getting it in the neck from her family over her dads will, he's leaving his house to her son. He sees him twice a week and brings a bottle round for his grandad. He doesn't care about a will or the house, the rest of the family send him a christmas card once a year. But once they found out who was getting the house all of a sudden a new 32 inch TV turned up at his door for the world cup. I told the wife to tell her dad to sign the deeds over to me and i'll sign it over to her son. If the rest of the family want to discuss the matter then they can do so with me personally. Jealousy what a rotten human trait, it is true what they say death does bring out the worst in people. But the wifes father isn't even dead yet. What human trait can you not stand and is there a worse trait than jealousy?

Reading between the lines there buddy it seems pretty obvious that the jealousy from your wifes family is fuelled by greed. Which in itself is a pretty rotten human trait.

Hypocrisy--claiming to be one thing but actually acting as something else. (This does not include people who actually make a mistake and change their actions when they realize the problem!)

I don't think I'm alone as almost every culture reserved the scariest tales to teach their children about them: vampires, werewolves/lycanthropes, dopelgangers, etc. These are creatures that deliberately abuse trust and gather great power by doing so.

In day-to-day life we meets these hypocrites as predators, politicians or managers who claim one thing and do another, business leaders who claim trustworthiness, most Western religious leaders, science hardliners, anyone who claims proof by authority rather than evidence, etc.

My two cents for what they're worth,

You beat me me to it Tabler. IMO it has to be greed. I understand people wanting to be successful and earn good money but how many cars, houses, gold watches, diamond earrings do we need? Many wealthy and average people are extremely generous but when you see programs on TV or read about the amount of mindless/needless consumption in the world, it makes me cringe. I understand and respect the desire/need for some of the finer things in life and I am not a socialist advocating wealth distribution but when is enough, enough? Greed certainly is not exclusive to money but it seems to rear it's ugly head most when money is the issue. I went through a similar issue with my family and I ended up walking away from the whole issue. Some members of my family have not spoken to each other in years because of this issue. It was all about their own greed, on both sides, and that is real frickin' shame.

damn right greed, nasty rotten trait. Be happy with what you have because i found out the hard way sooner or later somebody can just come along and take everything that you have. I never got no letter through the door, i got a 2 ton car smashed up my arse.

some are Hilts and then again you know, people you wouldn't piss on if they were on fire. The 2 ton car was nothing to do with workmates, it was just one of those things that was a genuine accident. I still haven't recovered from it.

Disingenuous people

Liars , cheats , fakes , phonies and all round bull shit artists .

Thankfully i grew up in a family that comprised mainly those characteristics and so can spot said scum suckers a mile away ,not only through face to face dialogue but even over the phone or via this medium

Guess we all have traits, qualities or behavior in people we cannot tolerate.
The one I cannot stand is very opinionated people who just cannot Shut The Hell Up
