I've not become 'immune to porn' but I've ceased being obsessed with it. I don't think that's due do the availability and nature of porn on the Web compared to porn pre-Web days, I think it's more to do with me not having 'young man' levels of testosterone sloshing about my blood-system and brain.

That's actually quite a relief, not to be thinking about women, sex and porn almost all the time, the pleasure's still there but I'm no longer being led through life by the Little Head.

That said, my own feelings about Web porn versus pre-Web porn is that I nowadays have little sense of porn girls' 'careers' developing.

I'm in England where hard porn was illegal for much of my life and much hard porn on the Web still is (for instance I discovered only yesterday that under UK law publishing photos and videos of face-sitting on the Web is illegal in the UK).

Despite those legal strictures, hard porn was almost always easy to buy in big cities here and I had a decent stash of CCC magazinesetc to go with my ordinary girlies, magazines being much more to my taste than videos.

As Aspire2B suggests about himself in his original post my own interest was in following particular porn models through the development of their careers from early tame appearances in girlie magazines eventually all the way through to hardcore penetrative vaginal and anal sex if they did it and I could find it.

Since the Web and since broadband speeds became available my porn interests have changed. For instance I first came to VEF to find scans of Jo Guest photosets to supplement my paper collection, stayed to find the hardcore photos and videos I didn't have of favourite models from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s, and now 10 years later I remain for the general discussion and talk forums and to visit threads that cater to my fetishisation of the female bottom (see my sig ) and to collect new bottom-orientated material by my favourite models

Later models I've followed since the web became such a cornucopia of porn I follow in a different way to the magazine days- I never pay for anything, I make my selections from the sometimes overwhelming photosets of models in poses that change only incrementally over - say - 320 photos, assembling for myself a set that would previously have been put together by a magazine editor, I tend to find new girls by chance recommendations by other members here at VEF and other places when their careers might already be 10 years long so I'll have a big brief binge on them rather than spend several years following their developing career.

Another difference is that I now enjoy finding and watching soft and hardcore videos from anytime in the last six decades or even longer - through the personal recommendations of a former mod here at VEF I've only recently discovered 70s vintage US porn movies that I was too young to see at the time and which I find generally excellent and far more enjoyable than most present day porn.

The porn past is now available pretty much all at once on the web and that means I never have opportunity to get bored with it, there's always something new to find even if 'new' is very old.

As I've moved away from following individual models and porn stars as I did in the days of magazines, I've found myself seeking out more fetishistic or recherché photo and video porn that matches my kinks, such as dressed women pissing in public, women rimming women and/or having their faces gripped between other women's buttocks, women receiving belly-distending insertions etc. Some prudes would see that as a bad thing, I see it as a good thing.

I haven't found that internet porn has made me immune to porn; it's made a significant difference to what porn I consume and the way I consume it.

Not immune, just frustrated at rarely finding the sort of material that I really want. I have to browse through screeds of online videos before I find something that actually really interests me that much. I'm talking about my fetish for various types of lingerie/clothes/footwear, some of which are a little unusual. It's actually easier for me to google for non-porn pics of women wearing the stuff I like. Probably half my 'porn' collection is actually pics of women fully dressed!

As far as your usual 'hardcore' stuff goes, I could do without a lot of the typical content, especially the never-ending blow-job scenes and anything where the man's face is on screen! Also, if the lingerie disappears part way through, then it's over for me. I won't even start on poor editing, bad lighting, idiotic producers, etc, etc.

I can't say as I've become immune, because to me that would imply I've seen so much of it to the point where it has no effect upon me when I view it, which certainly isn't the case.

I will say the seeming ubiquity of it now, as a result of the technological advances of the last twenty years...the availability of it and the more or less tacit acceptance of it by the general population (in that the presence of porn is just a fact of life)...like, I first started looking at porn in the late 1970s/early 1980s, solely in the form of magazines.

Back then, in America you had this massive social crusade against the "evils" of porn, and people were still spreading around decades-old wife's tales of how masturbating would ruin your eyesight/give you calluses/cause hair to grow on your hands/weaken your legs and ultimately drive you insane if you did it too much.

And even throughout the 1980s, if you were my age, getting a porn on a VHS to watch wasn't particularly easy. The professionally manufactured porn VHS tapes - from VCA or whoever - cost upwards of $100. And nobody ever admitted to actually looking at a porn mag or watching a porn movie...or even jacking off, when it came down to it. Because the only people who did those things were heavy-breathing weirdos dressed in trench coats who went into "those theaters" at the edge of the seedier side of town, or so the urban legend went.

I'm closing in on 50 years old, and have been looking at porn in one form or another for...what...35 or so years. I think for me what has changed the most isn't the effect of porn on me (although that has lessened somewhat with slowly waning testosterone levels), but the widespread effect of porn in terms of availability on the rest of society.

In an odd way, I'm thankful I grew up in a time when porn was much more difficult to acquire than a mere button click.

Not immune. At 44 years old, sex never gets old. My likes and desires have hardly changed since I started watching porn at 15 years old. There's just more to choose from these days and certainly easier access.

I avoid all the ridiculous extreme stuff they put out to please the sickos out there.
