Am I just an old fart, or were classic porn stars hotter?

OK, I know we probably have a biased audience here, but anyway...

Do you think current porn stars, for the most part, are just not that hot? I can't think of more than a few in recent years that I think are really attractive. Conversely, there are so many from back in the vintage era.

Am I just being nostalgic? What do you think?

Yes, like me, you're just an old fart. But classic porn stars were definitely hotter.

Yes classic stars were better. Today's have a bunch of tattoos and are shaved. So mundane to look at. Fake tits on most of them. Classic were all natural and had a nice bush.

I agree. But I'm old and fartish too. There are some nowadays who are pretty attractive, and it seems like there is a resurgent trend towards a natural breasts look, but I'm not the shaved type. I like at least a noticeable amount of fur. If I listed my, say, fifty best-looking porn stars ever, there would in fact be a preponderance of girls whose careers were before 1995.

So I think some of the common elements are:

a) Not all the girls were assembly line. Sure, there were a lot of blonds but there was a WIDE spectrum of women. Especially in the Pre-90s era.
b) Tattoos were not common
c) Bushes were generally trimmed - but not hairless - (80s,90s) to the garden of eden in the 60s and earlier.
d) Some of the women genuinely enjoyed their partners company. Hey, we know its all fantasy and for some it was a job but there were times when they really got into it and it shows. The modern girls seem to be - for the most part - going through the act in machine like fashion.
e) There was a nugget of a story line: There was typically a setup to the actual romp and stomp. Some were really elaborate and others far less so but there was always a smell kernel of a backstory leading into it (Pick your best trope: Pizza guy, maid, school teacher, etc, etc)
f) Natural over fake tits: Yeah, it existed in the 70s but got more common toward the late 80s and so commonplace in the 90s.

I think it's a bit like Page 3. Which, in its prime, was very different from modern porn. Page 3 was all about taking the girl next door and making her look like a goddess.

So I think of the porn stars I like, and they're mostly from the vintage years. And looking at old movies or photo sets, you find tummies, and cellulite, and hairy bushes, and if the tits are big, they probably sag a bit, because that's what big natural tits do. And girls who maybe had unconventional looks.

And, I think as part of the same thing, there was more of a sense of personality. There was a sense of them being individuals, not just coming off an assembly line. I think modern porn is mostly missing this. I mean, there's probably nobody with more sustained popularity than Christy Canyon, but I find it difficult to imagine someone with her looks and figure becoming a big star today.

To be fair, I do find some of the modern porn stars attractive, but they are mostly the MILFs and the younger, petite "girl next door" type performers. Like many, I am put off many of today's stars by the fake boobs (and fake other things, too), and the prevalence of tattoos etc.

I've been watching some 80s porn just recently, and it is striking just how many stunningly beautiful girls were on the scene in those days, even the comparatively lesser-known stars. Lithe, natural bodies, mostly unblemished by artificial adornments.

In many ways, the 1990s is a bit of a "lost" porn era for me, with one or two notable exceptions. I guess it is the time when the incidence of fake boobs and so forth really accelerated markedly, and I find a lot of the stuff from the mid-to-late 90s in particular unwatchable.

The period from the late-70s through to the late-80s is, for me, the era which had most variety and "naturalness". There was glamour in abundance, yes, but glamour usually rooted in reality. The stars from that time to me exuded a kind of earthy and compelling sensuality.
