I was bought a Revell 1/32 scale ME110 nightfighter as a Christmas present when I was about 11 - was really beyond my abilities and didn't do a great job - would have to have a another crack at it now!

Back in the late 80s I worked in a second hand mag and book shop and a nearby shop sold model kits.
I used to give the owner a stack of second hand porn and he'd give me kits.

I built a fleet of WW2 bombers and all it cost me was some spunk stained mags

Anyone else here remember when Matchbox (more famous for die-cast toy cars) made kits. Some really unusual stuff in their range and they used to market each kit in two different colours - must've killed them on production costs! That said I always remember them going together quite well

Made loads of plastic models until I reached puberty and started poking my nose into porn mags instead of Airfix and Tamiya instruction sheets...

hm... been stuck with the porn ever since...

I'll see your two-colour Matchbox kits (they did a Victor! A Victor!) - my favourite was the Sherman Firefly - and raise you.... FROG. (And those vastly inferior reissues of the latter from the USSR whose transfers disintegrated as soon as you put them in water: Novo).

Airfix 1:32 Multipose soldiers still bring a tear to the eye...

I recall a Matchbox Panzer tank with what looked like a French facade type building and street lamp on it. The Sherman had a broken bridge scene if memory serves me right!

Excellent dioramas Uli

I remember the Airfix 1:12 Historical figures.Back in the late sixties/early seventies I made Charles I and Julius Caesar,Due to a natural lack of talent,They didn't turn out too well...
