Hey, guys. I have a question concerning downloading photos.
I like to save myself some time and effort using an image downloader such as Image Dost Downloader and Bulk Image Downloader. The problem I am having is that many posters are now using someimage as host. Apparently someimage saves the files in some other manner that isn't compatible to bulk downloading perhaps? None of the bulk downloaders I can find are getting the job done. Any suggestions? Thanks ahead of time. |

I've tried the program you refer to, Imagehost Grabber.
Doesn't work for me. I'm sure there has to be a setting somewhere that I need to tweak but I don't see it. Thanks though. |

Sadly Imagehost Grabber is now out of date with up to date browsers - you can try jdownloader instead.

http://imagehost-grabber.org/ It works perfectly here and at other places. The version from Mozilla Addons is very outdated and not supported any more as the current maintainer cannot sign the addon because the original developer has moved on to other things. The hostfile is updated fairly regularly as well to cater for any changes that can and do occur. As an aside, the upcoming internal changes to Firefox mean that IG will probably cease to work in the near future with Firefox, but they recommend (and I wholeheartly agree) Pale Moon as a suitable alternative browser. i've been using PM for four years or so as my prime browser without any major problems. It's available for Windows and Linux users here: http://www.palemoon.org/ |

I'm afraid I have to disagree. I have downloaded every batch downloader I can find and tried them with all my browsers, I simply cannot download any image batches from someimage at all.
I'm getting a bit frustrated with that site. I'm sure there must be a setting I need to change or something that is preventing their use but I can't find it. Boatguy is posting some great image batches and they really are great but the only way I can get them is to download the images one at a time. I simply don't have enough hours to spare for that. I need help. Anyone at all have the answers? Please? |

To do so I had to allow requests to Someimage with the RequestReference security plug-in (nothing to worry about if you don't use RequestReference). I similarly allowed Someimage in NoScript (again, nothing to worry about if you don't use a script blocker). Perhaps you have one of these or even some other script and/or reference blocker installed? PS: In my case I'm running Palemoon 32 bit on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. Boatguy,
I've tried Firefox, Chrome, and IE10. None work at all. I doubt it's a browser issue. Thanks very much for your help along the way. I will certainly continue to do my best to solve this problem. If anything comes to mind, please let me know. I'll try just about anything. Thanks |
