In one band in which I played, the drummer was a kidney recipient. After a year of observing me and my smoking & drinking behavior (which I thought was quite temperate), asked if I was an organ donor. I replied that I was. Without hesitation, he said, "Please remove yourself from the list ASAP".

Never did, though; I'm sure I'll leave something useful.

Great idea but now - strongly against it.

We're (ex-Yugoslavia, but all East is similar, nor West is too different, too) ruled by some kind of mafia in last 25, specially last 10 years, so there was many abuse of donation.

How? For example, in military all are considered donors. Some politician get shot now - 1 hour after "appropriate type soldier committed suicide" and become donor.

My organs are good for donation, but I don't think my nuts would be good. I was born with what is called an undescended testicle, which means one of my nuts did not descend. It was still up in my abdomen, and I had to have a surgeon cut me open and push down the nut and then suture it to my thigh for several months to get it used to being down. Many men wonder why their nuts have to be down. The reason is that sperm won't grow at body temperature. They will only mature at a temperature several degrees lower than body temperature, thus the nuts have to be outside of the body which lowers the temperature inside the testicles. Because this nut was up in my abdomen it never developed to full size, and probably does not produce sperm. That's ok according to doctors who say that all men need only one to produce enough sperm to make a woman pregnant after copulation.

The problem with organ donation is you have no control over who gets your parts!

I hate the idea of my liver going to some guttersnipe without a university education who lives in a council house.

Anyone can have my lungs!

I like the idea of some poor bugger getting my lungs in a transplant - he wakes up and feels worse than he did before!

Oh well! That's me out then.

Shame! I was looking forward to your liver - even have the fava beans on the stove and chianti uncorked...

Totally in favour of organ donation, have donated blood since i was old enough to do so and am willing to donate my organs as well.

I also believe we should have an opt out policy and in Scotland we might have done but the Nazis sorry nationalists in the government wouldn't support the bill as it had been proposed by a labour MSP. Glad to see them share their compassion around.
