Given the problem faced with checking thousands of posts, I have a rough idea which threads they would be in & used this method to find them:

Go to the likely threads, & select the 'Who Posted' page (right click, open in new tab)

Locate your posts & click the number brings-up the list of all posts you made in that thread

Use the browsers search (Ctrl F in Chrome) looking for keyword 'some'.
If there is more than the 2 results from the banner on the page, it's easy to locate & check that post

You've got either your statistics in

User CP / your profile (top left) - which list your last 500 posts across VEF

or to get a list of the threads started / posts made

Advanced search - User name - top right - sections bottom right -

Quite useful if you've been using titles in your posts

I've been trying for a few hours to add a new Babe of the Day and some new posts to the Wank Club, but the upload system has been totally broken.

The Browse button works, although the button itself is invisible. Selected photos don't upload, and even though the thumbnail does appear you can't do anything with it. You click on it individually and it does nothing. Thumbnails also have a weird text over them saying 0% of 0% kilobytes.

In addition, the "Insert All Images" button does not appear either, so there's no way to add the photos.

But knowing that P. & H. is going through an upgrade/maintenance, at least we know that it will be fixed before too long.

Well, I have done a preliminary survey trying to figure out what I have posted here and where it is, and got a start on switching filehosts. Already done a few sets, rotating between imagevenue, imagebam, and imgbox. Lots more to go though.

For the mods who read this, once the someimage bomb really drops, are you going to be sending PMs to those of us who have the promise to re-upload in our sigs? I know I have all of the stuff still archived I have posted here, just don't know if I know where all of my posts are at, despite a search.

There's the time element too, stuff may disappear before I work through my known posts.

This would help, if you gave us a couple days notice after a thread cull before actually deleting it.

The point I was trying to help others with is that finding a post in which you've used 'SomeImage' as a host amongst many ImageBam, ImageBox, ImageVenue & Pump&Hog posts can be narrowed-down by using a combination of both the forum & browser search functions.

BTW, my first impressions of the P&H re-vamp don't like it at all.
they seem to have over-complicated the ability to get BB-codes, I've seen others posting OS thumbnails as everyone adjusts to the new routines & from a personal POV I have all my Gifs & Smileys uploaded in several 'Galleries'.
Previously I could access hundreds from a gallery on one page view - That functionality has gone with the galleries using painfully oversized preview thumbnails which are also cropped images. Maximum 100 per page & 10 pages per gallery. I have a gallery of 1572 images and another with 1419, there's no way I can get to any above 1,000. I'm going to have to download the lot & restructure into loads of smaller galleries and not kill those old links.

Boooo, they got the presentation & code retrieval very wrong & the format has totally goosed me

As the banner says... "We ask all members who have used Someimage to confirm whether they will rehost any dead images and to place a note in their signature to that effect."

If we know that you are actively working to replace dead images, we will give you time. There will be a cut off, however. If, for instance, you have posts which are still dead after a month or two, we may begin removing them. Whether or not we contact you will in all honesty be up to the individual mods and their workloads. We have a lot of posts and a limited number of moderators.

This whole situation sucks. I've been using someimage almost exclusively for about a year. Hundreds and hundreds of posts gone just like that. Don't stress it. It's just porn.

Good question. Someimage was the only acceptable host I was aware of that could handle images over 10mb. Imagebam and imgbox will take images up to 10mb.
