I made .mp4 captures of the three part DR2 documentary. I also grabbed the Danish subtitle streams, converted them to .srt and machine translated those to English with Google translate.

Is there perhaps a Danish speaker who would be interested to improve the translation of the subtitles to English?

Some parts of the documentary had hard-coded Danish subtitles which are not yet included in the .srt. Same goes for the parts with Danish text. I can provide those parts if there are translators and after translation incorporate them into the subtitles.

The subtitles for all three episodes in original Danish and as quick and dirty English machine translation:
https://1fichier.com/?uufzghf2ox
http://depositfiles.com/files/637uui8f2

The .srt files can be opened and edited in a regular text editor such as NotePad and as you can see on the image the machine translation can use some improvement.

Download links for all three DR2 documentary episodes. On the download page press the "Agree" button and then "Download". THIS DOWNLOAD WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE TILL AROUND NEXT WEDNESDAY (due to policy of the file-host). After that the links expire.

Part 1: Sorry... The download isn't available anymore.
Part 2+3: Sorry... The download isn't available anymore.

I would welcome improved subtitles.

And I want to place the remark that I find this three part investigative documentary somewhat speculative and suggestive. Also I question the expertise and statements by some of the interviewed. Tim Tate is providing wrong information is my opinion. He speaks of a underage "Rodox Color Climax" series with dozens of films. To my knowledge there is no such thing. That is a shame as statements like his keep alive the misconception that all underage pornography in that period originated from Color Climax Corporation. I personally believe that Jens Theander is accurate and truthful with his statement in the TV Aktuelt archive footage shown in "Del 2" at 00:14:16 that Color Climax Corporation itself published 23 underage content films and 35 magazines. Also his statement that Color Climax Corporation did not produce (photographed/filmed) the content themselves I believe to be truthful. What of course stays a fact is that Color Climax Corporation did trade the content.

The program maker probably should have asked the Danish police for information. They should have documented who produced what I suppose. I would have loved the bare facts instead of speculations and insinuations.

I also saw a brief part of Dutch history pass by in the third part "Del 3" at 00:04:46 with the soundbite "When it comes to ch*ld pornography the government just doesn't give a damn". This was aimed at the Dutch government and is set in The Hague at the seat of Dutch parliament: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/F..._hofvijver.jpg. The situation in Holland was similar to Denmark at that time.

Not sure I follow you. This documentary does not say everything originates from CCC. Tim Tate (having read his book) does not say this either.
In the DR-clip from 1979 of Jens Theander he is also lying. (Or maybe unknowingly giving wrong information). He says that CC stopped all this as of january 1979, but that there are some releases due in 1979 due to how things work. Later that year custom found a huge shipment designated Rodox.

Also, does it really matter that they 'only' published so and so many mags and films? Way to many anyway, if you ask me. These products accounted for 1.5% of the total revenue each year throughout the 70s. (source: Jens Theander).
Couldn't they live without that 1.5, having a yearly revenue of at least 60million Dkr?
I am in possession of a letter from Rodox Trading to a customer saying something like "remember, although postage costs had been risen several times the last year (by the danish post office), we (Rodox) still haven't changed our prices and for this reason costing us milions of danske kroner each year".
So, since they chose to (could afford) loose money due to increased costs instead of rising prices on products, why couldn't they live without that 1.5%?
I think that is a valid question, Peter refuses to answer.

Most of episode 3 is not about Rodox, it's about Willy Strauss and another company that I don't remember the name of now. They continued their production way into the 80s despite new laws. Police didn't 'give a damn' until USA produced a documentary and also had senators sign a letter to the Danish Prime Minister in 84. Nothing really happened because they sort of concluded "it's not our offspring in this material". That is not giving a damn to me.
A lengthy part of episode 3 focuses on this american documentary with interviews of the maker. Rodox is to my knowledge not mentioned in this documentary.

There do however exist evidence that a member of Rodox editorial staff had contact with one of the worst producers in France. There are also interviews elsewhere which says that Rodox-staff wanted Peter to stop the publications of this material but that he refused to do so since "other would then take this market".

What they really try to do is to get people involved to explain why this happened? They refuses. Peter Theander refuses. Even those publishing and being willing to be interviewed, refuses to acknowledge facts when they are confronted with it.
I don't see anything wrong with a documentary trying to shed light on this.

Not producing, only publishing (since its allowed) is a nuance I don't see.
These poor models where abused nonetheless.

CC is without question number one when it comes to pornographic material from the 70s and I agree this is worth remembering and celebrating. (As this forum does, for instance).
But I can't see what is the problem in examining what they did wrong.

Also, in Rodox catalogues from, for instance, 1974 they advertise for both their own CP mags and those made by Willy Strauss and that other company.
So even if they didn't produce more than they did they did make a profit on almost everything that was published in this niche anyway.

Just my two cents
Jolly

You can indeed argue that one is to many and that Color Climax Corporation with its distribution network shipped masses of films and magazines unlike any other company at the time, but I brought forward those numbers that Jens himself admits that Color Climax Corporation published 23 underage content films and 35 magazines (I believe these numbers to be truthful or at least close to the truth) to make clear that not all material available on that subject was put on the market by Color Climax Corporation which still seems to be a widely spread conception. Tim Tate does mention in "Del 2" at 00:05:47 that "Rodox Color Climax was responsible for one of the most infamous film ch*ld pornography series... dozens of 8mm short films...". By doing that and by acting as expert on the subject he leaves impression concerning the numbers. In my opinion a misleading impression. Once again I'm not going to argue that one is to many and that also attitude of Jens is lacking towards this subject but I just want to focus on the exact numbers. Also the films he conceives to be Color Climax might not necessarily be such.

The role Rodox Trading played as distribution is indeed another story that you could put a blame on Color Cilmax Corporation for its part in this specific business. They might also have been involved with their Rodox Color Teknik and CCC print for duplication of material for other companies.

I understand your post better now, thanks. Those numbers are to my knowledge correct.
I just want to crack the CCC-nut to bring out the correct history without all the myths, from a neutral point of view. sometimes it's hard to stay neutral when their history also includes this stuff.
I*m not sure I like the title though, Candy Film - Da **porno var lov" implies that Candy film was involved with this. It wasn't. Also, ep 3 is focusing heavily on Strauss, the other company and the shop Blue Movie. It wasn't in any way a part of Candy film either, but since the title is what it is people may remember it this way.
Other than that I found the documentary to be interesting.

Yes I also looked with interest to the documentary. I just wished they stayed with the facts so I pointed out some of my second thoughts in the hope people would be critical towards the info presented. You are right that the title of the three part investigative documentary is unlucky. In a way it implements as if Jens Theander's Candy Film had something to do with that.

I also found the program suggestive in the case that they look if CCC and I suspect more in particular Jens Theander might have been part of the filming of underage content. They try to find evidence for that via the Bonobo character. That leads nowhere but it remains in the background with remarks that the Bonobo character pointed out people from Rodox from a random selection of fifteen to sixteen images that the program production team send to Bonobo so that he could point out people that he might remember, then in "Del 3" at 00:03:11 you see a couple of the images that they had send and that shows that the random selection includes a cropped catalog image with text showing part of the production process at Rodox Color Teknik with to top it of even a Color Climax film box in the picture...

Then it would be bizarre if it would not have been pointed out.

At the end of the program Thomas Heurlin consults a lawyer to see if there still could be a case based upon his findings including the statements by Bonobo. In a way making statements that are untrue or being suggestive also could be persecuted by law I suppose.

This is a long shot, but does anyone know Christa's date of birth, and thus how old she was when she filmed her scenes?

If the information is known, a link to confirmation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

No, it's not known. But she was active quite some years, 18-22,23 maybe?

I've seen a date on Tiny Tove, but I have no way to verify if it's legimit.
