This thread could blow up some people don't like the "truth" they see on TV or in the papers etc being exposed as a lie. JFK, well we could write an essay each on this. I don't wish to disrespect the Kennedy family. Or the American people. But Lee Harvey Oswald was not alone in the murder of President Kennedy.

The most concise rebuttal to this I know of is from Wikipedia:

At least 39 former astronauts have developed cataracts; 36 of those were involved in high-radiation missions such as the Apollo missions.

As for the Russians, it's interesting to note that they acknowledged the moon landings at the time, and continue to acknowledge them to this day. If they had any doubt to their validity, I'm certain that they would have brought this up to discredit the Americans.

Then again, maybe the Russians are in on the conspiracy. Those damned Illuminati bastards!

If the moon landings were a hoax how come thousands of people working in the Apollo program have managed to keep that hoax a secret?

How come nobody has come forward with difinitive proof that it was a hoax, and yet many have come forward with proof that man really did walk on the moon?

People like conspiracy theories. It's a good feeling to believe that you're in the know. Doesn't make them true though.

Obama's birth record?? Why would that be held as a secret?? I had to show mine just to vote, serve in the military or get a job working with the folks who put the guys on the moon.

Many people say this, and it seems logical, but it doesn't always mean the truth will come out in your lifetime, or even that it will come out at all

Some things really are known only to a few people, and quite often they keep their mouths shut. If you could look in your country's archives - well, any country's archives - you would get some deep shocks, depend on it

As they are discovering from the USSR's archives, part of which are now open

But what if they don't keep their mouths shut, what then? Do people believe them when they talk? - not always. Sometimes the truth seems so outrageous that it's impossible to believe. Not until there's official proof, either from a government confirmation, or from archives. Until then, it's unsubstantiated. Frustrating, no?

And worst of all, what happens if all the actors die AND the records are "somehow" destroyed?

So although the odds seem against it, I believe there really are secrets, call them "conspiracies" if you want, that we will never know the truth about

I think you're right

However, there two things I'd say: 1) US Marines have a reputation for well-above-average marksmanship, so in theory it's not impossible that LHO was the only shooter. And 2) If it really was the CIA or some government agency, that is going to be secret for a very long time, even if the archives are intact

I watched that episode. Very convincing using scientific methods, funny how the flag waved more easily in a vacuum like most didn't suspect it would.

LHO.If he was even there, wasn't the only one to shoot at, and hit, the President. The bullet wound in the throat and the fact that the Presidents head exploded backwards, disprove that theory. As for the single bullet that caused seven different wounds, including going through the car windscreen without any damage....laughable. 'The Presidents Brain is Missing' from the 1980's TV series ' Whoops Apocalypse', well it was when the President Kennedy's body eventually arrived at the Bathesda Naval Hospital for post mortem............???

Th Moon landings.... I vividly remember watching the Moon landings in July 1969, I was ten years old. I didn't belive that they were on the Moon then, and I do not believe it now. That said, I do belive that man has set foot on the moon since then, But not that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first.

Marilyn Monroe was evidently, according to a BBC programme some years back, and a signed affidavit from a policeman at the time, still alive when the emergency services arrived at her house. She was taken back to the house and 'discovered' dead later on.

The Lusitania....did Churchill have a hand in its distruction?? Certainly Captain Turner was very vague as to why he was where he was at the time of the sinking. He wasn't travelling at full speed- supposedly to conserve coal - and he wasn't in mid channel as he should have been, nor was he zig zagging, a standard defence against U boats. The Lusitania had been warned that a U boat was in the vicinity off Kinsale Head, as it sank a ship there the day before. The Lusitania was carrying some munnitions, but it was allowed to by international law. However, a diving team who inspected the wreck in the 1980's were told by 'officialdom' to be careful, as "wrecks were dangerous"!! No Shit! Also , several pages of the ships log were oddly missing from the Public Records Office....now I wonder why???
