Things You Could Do Then That You Can`t Do Now

I used to be able to make copper pipes that did secret things inside torpedoes but if you asked me to do it now I wouldn't know where to start.

I can't enjoy much of any physical strenuous activity anymore. My knees, elbows and fingers hurt badly due to arthritis. Therefore, I can't:

a) play basketball,
b) play sandlot football (American style football, that is),
c) scuba dive (doctor told me to stop 10 years ago),
d) hiking or backpacking,
e) yard work (don't miss that at all), or
f) stay up all night partying.

However, I can still enjoy:

1) target shooting,
2) internet surfing,
3) watching trains (trainspotting?),
4) visiting Hooters, and
5) viewing VEF.

Worst of all, I am beginning to suffer from recurring CRS (Can't Remember Stuff) which is of some concern as Alzheimer's runs in my family.

Here's a photo of my favorite train, favorite gun and a very nice pair. I just can't wait to see how life is going to turn out!

Forgot to mention I'm going deaf, have to listen to music on expensive headphones in case I wake the entire neighbourhood up. I pull into the inside lane to let the boy racers past. I can't be bothered doing wheel-spins anymore. Tyres are too dear. I've no idea who is in the "top twenty" because I don't care and don't listen to contemporary radio. I listen to the news and swear under my breath. Em, I really am a boring, grumpy old fart.

I have just been flicking through the on screen TV guide trying to find something to watch.

I came to Channel 4+1 and did a double take.... WTF?? BUTTMAN IN NEW YORK???? then I looked harder 'Bullrun: New York'.

and I have a 52" screen.

Stay awake once I get home from work. (straight to the couch for a nap)

Get on top in the missionary position. With the plates and screws holding some of the back together and fractures getting into more of it I just don't bend/flex that way any longer.

With Mrs BB gone I've become lazy, or maybe it's the man in me I only vacuum when I see crumbs on the floor I like eating baked beans out of the tin. And a good fart is nice. Yes being single has its perks.

I used to enjoy shooting as well and was darn good at it once (Was going to mention that day trip visit to Dallas but it`s too lame a gag even for me) , and a few months after arriving back to these oh so welcoming shores i got a toy pistol similar in design to my former one.

Found out i couldn`t shoot for shit with it

Well not unless i put an ankle weight around my wrist

Don't think I'll get any arguments here, but getting motivated to go to work, always found it difficult and increasingly harder every day,

On the opposite hand I can easily come up with reasons not too go too work
