What bothers me is that these amazing "photos" of distant galaxies are no such thing. They are made up by NASA artists extrapolating data about temperature change between one pixel and another. Might be complete bollox.

Stonehenge Decoded

Stonehenge seemed to be a fertility calendar, for people who satled down
near by. The remains of thousends of houses where found in the area surroundings.
The houses have been radiocarbon dated to 2600-2500 B.C.,
the same period Stonehenge was built, one of the facts that leads the archaeologists to conclude that
the people who lived in the Durrington Walls houses were responsible for constructing Stonehenge.
Every year people from all over the land gathered here to celebrate life.
Another type of henge made of wood (Woodhenge) was found at 3 kilometers from the stone one.
Stonehenge and Durrington Walls were intimately connected: Durrington's purpose was
to celebrate life and deposit the dead in the river for transport to the afterlife,
while Stonehenge was a memorial and even final resting place for some of the dead.
Stonehenge's avenue, discovered in the 18th century, is aligned on the midsummer solstice sunrise,
while the Durrington avenue lines up with midsummer solstice sunset. Similarly,
the Durrington timber circle was aligned with midwinter solstice sunrise,
while Stonehenge's giant stone trilithon framed the midwinter solstice sunset.

I never quite figured out if these funny circled shapes in England were hand made and thus the whole deal was a hoax or not.

Read somewhere that some of them could not be a hoax though. Too complex to engineer and lay out? I've absolutely no idea...

I just would like to know where they got the stones from
This kind of stone is not found within 300 miles of the place.
Some of those megalithes weight over 40 tons..!!!!

Seeking clarification on the Atomic Theory. Do atoms, electrons, protons, neutrons, quarks, etc. actually exist? Or are they a man-made metaphor designed to describe the attractive and repulsive forces (electro magnetism) that hold physical matter together? Linus?

Pea plant grows inside man's lung

A Massachusetts man who was rushed to hospital with a collapsed lung came home with an unusual diagnosis: a pea plant was growing in his lung.

Ron Sveden had been battling emphysema for months when his condition deteriorated.

He was steeling himself for a cancer diagnosis when X-rays revealed the growth in his lung.

Doctors believe that Mr Sveden ate the pea at some point, but it "went down the wrong way" and sprouted.

"One of the first meals I had in the hospital after the surgery had peas for the vegetable. I laughed to myself and ate them," Mr Sveden told a local Boston TV reporter.

Mr Sveden said the plant was about half an inch (1.25cm) in size.

"Whether this would have gone full-term and I'd be working for the Jolly Green Giant, I don't know. I think the thing that finally dawned on me is that it wasn't the cancer," Mr Sveden said.

He is currently recovering at home with his wife Nancy, who joked that God must have a sense of humour.

I don't think anyone will ever be able to fully understand and explain Stonehenge, as it was constructed over hundreds of years. and was de-constructed once or twice to facilitate the re-builds. These could have been done by different people or the same people who wanted to use it for different reasons ands we'll never really know who built it or why.
