World War Three
How long from now?Who'll be the combatants? Is it inevitable?Your opinions...
My thoughts , China against the US.Our politicians ,like Bush I & II,Nixon,Reagan, set us up big time for this. Also all members of congress across the isles who vote for economic destruction that grossly favors foriegn contries like,China,Japan, S. Korea & all other such nations to have a huge advantage due to trade agreements that are traitorous to US workers & most manufacturers here.Aliances will be interesting, right now I can't tell.IMO it will be whoever pays the most for alligiances. Then whoever looks to be winning, similar in so many past wars. The new trade deal, the Trans Pacific Partnership, if passed will put the final nail in the coffin for US manufacturing. If pres. Obama tries to pass this ,along with others & lie & say it is good for the US,everything he has done for the Auto,Steel,Rubber, workers etc. will be a moot point. So far, only 27 GOP members in the House of reps. oppose it.151 Democrats in the house, have written strong letters to the Obama administration, in opposition to this US worker/industry, manufacturing base destructive agreement, & vow not to vote for it. The Keystone Pipline, who will it really favor?Rumours are China & its supposedly in this TPP agreement, that they'll get the brunt of that oil,if its approved? In the last half of the 20th century & currently there has been no trade agreement that this country has signed that favors American workers/industry.The trade off of selling a few bushels of crops while our country 's industry is dismantled ,worth the deal? Sooner or latter this will come back to haunt the US & will be a reason for drastic action in the parties that will be domanent in the future here. Will an enormous unpayable debt to China & the demands that follows be enough to put them over the edge, in the future? Will this country have enough manufacturing left to stop them? As usual what factors are most wars started over?Usually monetary reasons, in moderen times. Will a war like that resort to nukes?Well take the Soviet now Russian philosphy, its a resort ,maybe a last one, but it states if they cannot stop a convetional invasion, they'll nuke their adversary. |

It's a global market and the politicians can do very little about protecting jobs etc when there are competent people prepared to do the same work for less in other countries.
How many people actually are prepared to pay the extra to buy a locally manufactured article? My house is full of things which a few years ago, before China got going, I could never have been able to afford. |

Thats a fallacy,we can make Steel for example much cheaper/man hr. than China. Its advantage is its steel is government subsidized & owned, & trade agreements give it a grossly unfair advantage in the US.Thinking no one can do nothing about is our biggest problem. That kind of thiking will be the end of the western economies, & any kind of buying power for the masses sooner or later in the US.How about Germany?Does anyone wonder why they export steel, & export 4 to 5X as many cars as the US?Did they give up on manufacturing? No, they just don't sell their country's industry to the highest bidder!

Under Obama the US has become a much less dangerous target. Contrary to Teddy Roosevelt's advice "Speak softly and carry a big stick", Obama tries to talk tough while continuing to slash the military and intelligence budgets. And then he wonders why no one takes him seriously.

Honestly, i think China doesn't care much about the USA in terms of target/enemy. In fact i think no one outside the USA (except some terrorist loonies of course and perhaps North Korea) considers USA a target. Mostly USA itself seems to think it's everyone's target.
My humble advice to the USA: stop feeling so scared and threatened and use that money for something useful instead of all those silly you won't ever need. Don't you know you're already the biggest force in the world? Nobody is seriously considering to conquer the USA. |

The U.S has a bigger defence budget than the next 10 biggest spending countries combined. Hardly makes them a soft target.

A few millitary men that were at a fairly high ranking levels, I conversed with seemed to agree that it would be China.Oh BTW we here in the US don't think this way because we assume the world revolves around us,its because of the enormous debt we have raked up,that may not be possible to pay back, because of economic treason here.As I recall another country after WWI had a similar problem, & a their "Leader" took issues in his own hands. The bottom line again in most wars ,is money. |

BTW I have some "token" tools made in China too, they have a life expectancy close to a sub atomic particle. This is no shit, I bought a very cheap 1 1/16 box end to take off an auto's hub bearing, the wrench from China. I thought it was doing a pretty good job of loosing the hub nut. That is untill I looked at the wrench,it was bent 30*!The hub nut did'nt move!Needless to say I soon went to Sears & bought an American made "Craftsman" wrench, needed it just to get the job done!It may have cost 4-5 X as much, but if I bought 10 of those Cninese one, they still could'nt get the job done!
I have a GM car, bought it new.The only thing that has gone bad on it in 3years,after the warranty?Chinese made actuators,4 times!Quality? You see every day that the Chinese are making cheap knock-offs,even the WTO can't do anything about them.Do they perform like the real stuf, no in the overwhelming amount of cases. Look at the food they import here. Its killing our pets & for human consumption there are issues recently too.I have often been told it was an order by GWB that does'nt require country of origin labels anymore here in the States?Someone may definative have that info?Does anyone think the food safety in China is close to the Western nations? You eat their imported foods,I'll keep looking for a "made in China" label & no statement of Country of origin.I put the back on the shelf. |

We might all be looking in the wrong direction. Now that Russia has taken back the Crimea, they might feel so good about themselves that they will take a run at Poland next.
I don't see China having anything the Americans want that much, and remember, China's main export before their recent industrialization was Chinamen.
