Attention: There is a prevalent email scam happening everywhere where the sender claims to have a password to a site and demands money in some form. Ignore it, do not respond and at most change passwords on any sites you frequent.

Effective immediately, moving or animated GIFs are not allowed in signatures. If your signature has one, please remove or replace it asap. Staff will remove them as and when we see them without notice.

Sincerest apologies to everyone for the recent blackout. VEF and several of our sister forums had a major server malfunction. The database index is being rebuilt from scratch and may take at least several days to be fully restored. Expect major weirdness and lots of glitches in the meantime. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Unfortunately it seems that all of the posts made from the 13th March until the crash are permanently lost, please feel free to re-post any such material, apologies for this.

Adobe Flash v13 for Mac users

Just a heads up if you are running OSX 10.6-10.8 on a machine a couple years old. The new flash update, version 13.0, is probably going to give you problems and crash some of your plugins.

Back up v.12 before you install.

Here's the workaround from Adobe:

A. Download and run the uninstaller:

then

B. Download run the version 12 installer

http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get...yer_12_osx.dmg
