Thanks for this absorbing thread. My memories of Spick (imperfect as my memories probably are) was it emerging into my priapic Brit Grammar school boy society of around 1954. Sexual license had always revolved around the neutral and sterile naturist magazine 'Health & Efficiency' until then. I think most of the images here might post-date that time. It was uncommon to see a naked breast in anything else than an artistic context at that time and I doubt that much of the stuff here would have made to the news stands. I do recall a court case of the time when the Judge condemned the morally corrupt mags as they tended to focus unhealthily on 'Breasts'. Ha! They did but we loved it.

The pursuit of the identity of the models is especially interesting. One or two of them appeared to have gone on to a degree of fame but many had the particular attraction of looking as if they were girls from the local youth club. That seeming accessibility made them better than any of the Hollywood stars of the day.

One of them, who does not appear on these pages and does not seem to have a mention is Shirley Anne Field. She became well known in the Sixties for a starring part in "Saturday Night and Sunday morning", later was the middle-aged housekeeper in "Lady Chatterley's Lover". She popped up from time to time in various Brit 'B' movies. This century she has appeared in a number of TV series. She was lovely. I remember thinking at the time that her Spick appearances were becoming so frequent as to become monotonous but her execution of the cleavage and stocking-tops genre was no less excellent. I'd love to revisit that.
