Back in the 80s, I was on more than one occasion mistaken for musician Thomas Dolby who had a hit with a song called "Hyperactive". I was in a band myself and the resemblance got me at least one date when I played along with it a bit.

Still look similar today but he has lost a bit more hair.

Since my retirement, my good lady says I resemble Hamm from Toystory more with each passing day.

I was once in a posh club in London and some drunk middle-aged Dutch (I think) lady came up to me and asked if I was Matthew McFadden. When I said no, she started insisting that I was him, but that I was just trying to get rid of her. It took me a good few minutes to convince her that I wasn't him, and that in fact I had never heard of him.

Later I looked him up, he's a British actor, and I suppose I should have been flattered, although it was dark and she was drunk, and he is a bit older than me.

When I told my wife this story, she'd never heard of Matthew McFadden either, so she googled him, and immediately burst out laughing and said "He looks exactly like you."
